[01] Minister of Agriculture - Istanbul - Meeting
Nicosia, Jun 25 (CNA) -- Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources and the
Environment Costas Themistocleous departs tomorrow for Istanbul, Turkey, to
participate in an informal meeting of Ministers for the Environment of
candidate states for membership to the European Union, to take place
between June 28 - 29.
A press release issued here today said the meeting, organised by the
Turkish Ministry for the Environment with the backing of the European
Commission, is part of preparations by candidate countries to meet EU
environmental concerns and policies.
