CNA/GP/2001 2015:CYPPRESS:03[03] Cyprus - European Commission - EconomyBrussels, Apr 25 (CNA) -- Cyprus' economic medium term prospects are good and growth in 2002 is expected to recover to the levels enjoyed in recent years, the European Commission said in its report on the economies of the countries under accession to the EU for 2001 and its prospects until 2002.According to the report Cyprus' economic growth is expected to be more restrained in 2001 than compared to recent years, fiscal policy will remain tight, while Cypriot economy is becoming increasingly dependant upon tourism and external vulnerability is growing.
