    Ķicosia, Feb 5 (CNA) - The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus:

    Tuesday and Wednesday: 6/2/2001 to 7/2/2001

    Weather: Mainly fine Wind: Northwesterly light at night, southwesterly moderate in the afternoon. Temperature: Maximum (17-19) C. Minimum (5-7) C.

    Outlook for Thursday and Friday: 8/2/2001 to 9/2/2001

    The weather will be mainly fine. Small increase in temperature is expected.

    [02] Cyprus Defence Minister - India - Visit

    Nicosia, Feb 5 (CNA) -- Cyprus Defence Minister Socrates Hasikos leaves for an official visit to India tonight, at the invitation of his counterpart George Fernandes.

    Hasikos will visit the international air force material exhibition "Aero- India 2001", taking place in Bangalore, and will have a private meeting with Fernandes to discuss issues of mutual interest.

    [03] Cyprus - Mauritius - Diplomatic relations

    Nicosia, Feb 5 (CNA) - Cyprus and Mauritius have signed a protocol agreeing to establish diplomatic relations, it was announced here today.

    The protocol was signed by the permanent representatives of the two countries to the UN, who said it is important that island states cooperate in order to tackle common problems and challenges.
