[01] Former Limassol Bishop - Court case suspended
Nicosia, Jan 31 (CNA) - Charges against former bishop of Limassol
Chrysanthos in connection with a multi-million dollar fraud case were
suspended by the Nicosia District Court because a key prosecution witness
from abroad has declined to come forward.
The case continues as far as the Republic's Law Office is concerned,
according to senior counsel Eva Papakyriakou.

[02] UNFICYP doctor - Tziakourmas
Nicosia, Jan 31 (CNA) - A doctor from the United Nations Peacekeeping Force
in Cyprus (UNFICYP) today visited Greek Cypriot Panicos Tziakourmas, who is
a diabetic and is being treated in a hospital in the Turkish occupied part
of Nicosia.
UNFICYP Acting Spokesman Charles Gaulkin told CNA that Tziakourmas' "blood
sugar level has come down and he is feeling better", noting that the
Force's doctor visits the Greek Cypriot regularly.

[03] Cyprus - Illegal immigrants - British Bases
Nicosia, Jan 31 (CNA) - The British High Commission in Nicosia is in
contact with the Cyprus Foreign Ministry to determine which of the two will
deal with 15 illegal immigrants found in a reservoir within a British Bases
region.
Earlier today, the Cyprus police arrested two illegal immigrants in a
village near the British Dhekelia Base, on the southern coast, who led them
to the reservoir where the rest were hiding.

Nicosia, Jan 31 (CNA) - The British Bases Police and the Cyprus Police will
be putting their heads together tomorrow, to determine where a bunch of
illegal immigrants, found hiding in an empty reservoir, came from and what
should be done with them.
The British Bases will give 15 of the illegal immigrants shelter for the
night, before their meeting with the Cyprus authorities, to determine who
would deal with the problem.
