[01] Cyprus - Liberia - Diplomatic relations
Nicosia, Dec 2 (CNA) -- Cyprus and Liberia have signed a protocol
establishing diplomatic relations, expected to open a new chapter in
relations between the two peoples and further strengthen bilateral ties.
The protocol was signed by the permanent representatives of the two
countries to the UN Sotos Zackheos and Neh Dukuly Tolbert, at the Cyprus
mission in New York.

[02] Cyprus Foreign Minister - Brussels
Nicosia, Dec 2 (CNA) -- Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides leaves Monday
for Brussels, where he will represent Cyprus at the Intergovernmental
Conference held at the ministerial level for Cyprus' accession to the
European Union.
During his stay in Belgium, Kasoulides will meet the Belgian Minister for
European affairs and European Commissioner responsible for enlargement,
Gunter Verheugen.

[03] Russian poet and writer - Limassol municipality
Limassol, Nov 2 (CNA) -- A bust of Russian poet and writer Aleksander
Pushkin was revealed in the southern coastal town of Limassol today, by its
Mayor Demetris Kontides and former Russian ambassador to the island and now
Moscow Municipality director for international and public relations Georgi
Mouradov.
"This is a unique event in our lives and the first monument in honour of a
Russian in Cyprus," Mouradov said, calling on Russian nationals living here
to hounour their country's traditions and the writer of love, friendship,
freedom and democracy.
