Nicosia, Nov 24 (CNA) - Government Spokesman, Michalis Papapetrou, has said that the National Council, top advisory body to the President on the Cyprus problem, comprising parliamentary party leaders, today began examining issues that arose during the last round of UN-led proximity talks, held earlier this month.

Referring to the forthcoming visit to the island by the UN Secretary- General's Special Adviser on Cyprus, Alvaro de Soto, the Spokesman said it had "nothing to do with any answers that have to be given to the documents" submitted to the two sides.

Cyprus - Greece - Cooperation protocol

Nicosia, Nov 24 (CNA) -- Cyprus and Greece today signed a cooperation protocol on science and technology which is expected to strengthen relations between the two countries in these fields.

The protocol was signed in Nicosia by Minister of Commerce, Industry and Tourism Nicos Rolandis and Greek Development Minister Nicos Christodoulakis, who is in Cyprus for a two-day visit.
