[01] Council of Ministers - Fires - Helicopters
Nicosia, Aug 9(CNA)- The Council of Ministers today passed a comprehensive
scheme aimed at fighting huge fires, which provides for the purchase of two
or three helicopters with a capacity to carry five tons of water each and
the capability for night-time vision.
Interior Minister, Christodoulos Christodoulou, said after the meeting that
"things are being put in order", regarding fire fighting.
