[01] Cyprus - Laos - Diplomatic relations
Nicosia, Jun 30 (CNA) -- Cyprus and Laos have signed a protocol
establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The protocol was signed by the Permanent Representatives of Cyprus and Laos
to the UN Sotos Zackheos and Alounkeo Kittinhoum, both of whom expressed
the wish for stronger bilateral relations and closer cooperation in
international fora between the two countries.
Zackheos said both countries passed "difficult times" recently, but they
look at the future with optimism, and he welcomed Laos' efforts for
reconstruction.
