CNA/MCH/EC/2000 2120:CYPPRESS:04[04] House of Representatives - Oil - PricesNicosia, Jun 1 (CNA) - The plenary session of the House of Representatives today rejected a government proposal for an increase in oil prices and passed amended regulations, after suggestions put forward by the House Economic Committee. The House decision reverts prices back to the level they were prior to yesterday's increase of 4 cents per litre of super petrol and 2 cents per litre of diesel.There were 24 votes for the amended regulations, from left-wing AKEL and centre DIKO, 18 against from right-wing DISI and the United Democrats, as well as two abstentions from the Movement of Socialdemocrats.
