Nicosia, May 30 (CNA) - Czech Ambassador to Cyprus, Vera Jerabkova, said
her country and Cyprus have established firm relations and are helping each
other in their respective negotiations for accession to the European Union.
Speaking at a press conference, on the occasion of the Czech Republic's
participation in the Cyprus International Fair taking place in Nicosia,
Jerabkova said that in 1999 imports from Cyprus rose while exports to
Cyprus dropped by a few million US dollars, which is not satisfactory from
the Czech point of view.

Nicosia, May 30 (CNA) -- The government will press on with its efforts to
get a European Court of Human Rights ruling against Turkey executed and
intends to apply all legal and political means to achieve this objective,
Government Spokesman Michalis Papapetrou said here today.
He also indicated that the postponment of the execution of the Court
decision in the case of Greek Cypriot Titina Loizidou is tantamount to a
denial of the European priniciples by the Europeans themselves and ruled
out any exchange of property between the Greek and Turkish Cypriots.
