[01] UN envoy - Cyprus problem - Interview
by Maria Myles Nicosia, May 26 (CNA) -- The UN intends to draw from past
initiatives where consensus was achieved between the Greek and Turkish
Cypriot sides, including Ghali's set of ideas, and prepare non papers or
oral ideas to present to the sides at next month's talks, for which the UN
envoy Alvaro de Soto is preparing very seriously and very substantively, UN
Deputy Special Representative in Cyprus James Holger has stated.
He also said a fourth round of UN-led talks is likely to take place in
September, in New York, where world leaders will gather for the Millennium
summit, prior to the start of the UN General Assembly set for the third
Tuesday of September.

enforcing UN Security Council resolution 425, 22 years after it was adopted,
and underlines that the international organisation's resolutions can only
