Nicosia, Apr 18 (CNA) -- A Greek Cypriot woman has resigned her job and is
on a hunger strike for a second day, demonstrating outside the House of
Representatives demanding the implementation of the law prohibiting smoking
in public places.
Andri Olympiou, who held a managerial position at an offshore company, told
CNA she handed in her resignation because of the "unbearable situation" as
a result of her colleagues' smoking and because despite her pleas for
creation of smoking and non-smoking areas at the office there has been no
response by her employer.
