[01] Commerce Minister - Visits abroad
Nicosia, Mar 26 (CNA) -- Commerce, Industry and Tourism Minister Nicos
Rolandis departs today for official visits to the Czech Republic, Slovakia
and Romania, in a bid to promote bilateral
relations in the fields of trade, industry, tourism and services.
In all three countries the minister will meet with his counterparts as well
as other government officials and personalities from the financial sector.

[02] Russians vote in Cyprus
Nicosia, Mar 26 (CNA) -- Some two thousand Russians living in Cyprus or are
here for a vacation are expected to vote today for their new President in
special election centres set up in all four major towns in the government-
controlled areas of the Republic.
Russian embassy press officer in Nicosia Vladimir Zatsepin told CNA that
people are already showing up to cast their ballot and expressed the hope
that over 50 percent of Russian nationals who are here will vote.

[03] House President - Foreign Minister - Cyprus question
Nicosia, Mar 26 (CNA) -- Both House of Representatives President Spyros
Kyprianou and Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides today said mediators in
efforts to reach a settlement on the island should understand that any
solution must be based on UN resolutions on Cyprus.
Speaking after a meeting to discuss latest developments, the two officials
said pressure must be exerted on Ankara if a settlement is to be reached
and noted that the Turkish side's demands in the Cyprus question should be
rejected.
