    Nicosia, Mar 20 (CNA) -- The British Bases in Cyprus have released the names of two British soldiers who were injured Sunday morning in a road accident that left two of their colleagues dead.

    The injured soldiers are Private Michael James Byron and Peter Andrew Hawkins, both 21, a Bases spokesman told CNA today.

    [02] Weather forecast for Cyprus

    Nicosia, Mar 20 (CNA) -- According to the Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport, the weather forecast for Cyprus is:

    Tuesday and Wednesday: 21/03/2000 to 22/03/2000

    The weather on Tuesday will be mostly fine with some patchy clïõd but on Wednesday it will become mostly cloudy with local rain. The winds on Tuesday will be light northeasterly and the sea will be slight. On Wednesday the winds will be southwesterly fresh and the sea will become moderate. Temperatures will range from 6 to 20 inland and from 8 to 20 on the coast.

    Outlook for Thursday and Friday: 24/03/2000 to 25/03/2000

    On Thursday the weather will remain unsettled but it will gradually improve from Friday.

    [03] President Clerides - Bone Marrow donors

    Nicosia, Mar 20 (CNA)-- President Glafcos Clerides has pledged to increase state assistance to a bone marrow charity foundation to help its work and paid tribute to scores of people who donated blood in the past few days in a bid to save the life of a six-year old boy, suffering from leukemia who urgently needs a bone marrow transplant.

    Cyprus now ranks first worldwide in the number of bone marrow donors per head of population, with well over 20,000 donors among a population of about 650.000.
