Speaking after a meeting in Nicosia with members of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee of the Polish Parliament, Anastasiades praised the close and friendly bonds between the two countries. CNA/RM/GP/20001745:CYPPRESS:04 Greek - Turkish Cypriot parties - Meeting - Joint Declaration Nicosia, Feb 25 (CNA) - Two Cypriot parties, Greek Cypriot Democratic Rally (DISY) and Turkish Cypriot Patriotic Unity Movement (PUM), have expressed their adherence to a peaceful resolution of the Cyprus problem on the basis of a bizonal, bicommunal federation, as set out in UN resolutions and two high level agreements the two sides have signed. Officials from the two parties, who met here today at the initiative of the Turkish Cypriots, said in a joint declaration they regard Cyprus' accession process to the European Union "will act as a catalyst for a solution and will benefit both communities" and expressed hope that Turkish Cypriots will participate in this process.
