The 21-page report for 1999, released here today, notes the various obstacles raised by the Turkish Cypriots to prevent bicommunal contacts and refers to the economy on the island, claiming that the Greek Cypriots impose an economic embargo against the Turkish Cypriots but failing to mention a ruling by the European Court in Luxembourg which regulates the export of produce from the occupied areas.
