[01] URGENT: Kyprianou - Returns
Larnaca, Apr 10 (CNA) -- House President, Spyros Kyprianou said he did his
utmost to secure the release of three US Army soldiers.
Speaking on his arrival from Belgrade on a Greek C-130 transport plane,
Kyprianou told reporters that he returned from his mission of good will,
after having ascertained that there is, on the Yugoslav side, a willingness
to listen.
He said when he had left Cyprus, he left with "many hopes which were
well founded" but then when he arrived in Belgrade, things had changed.
Kyprianou added that he would have been pleased if he was able to
bring back the three soldiers. MORE LATER
