Nicosia, Feb 11 (CNA) -- Cyprus' national soccer team reached the first
place in the group 6 table for the preliminary phase of the European
Championship (Euro 2000) after their 4 - 0 triumph over San Marino, at
Tsirion Stadium, in Limassol, last night.
The Cypriot squad has nine points in four games followed by Austria
with seven points in three matches.
Third is Israel with four points in three games followed by Spain with
three points in two games and San Marino with no points in four games.
