Nicosia, Feb 5 (CNA) -- Cyprus President Glafcos Clerides received here
today visiting French Senator and President of the Foreign and Defence
Committee of the French Senate, Xavier de Villepen.
He told the press after the Presidential Palace meeting that he wanted
to see President Clerides in order to be better informed about the
political situation on the island.
The French Senator said he was pleased to meet the President "and to
get all the information that we needed".
The French official had also meetings with Foreign Minister, Ioannis
Kasoulides, and the Foreign Affairs Committee of the island's House of
Representatives.
