A celebration was held on Tuesday evening in Belgrade to mark the 80th a
nniversary of the foundation of Yugoslavia.
The celebration was attended by President of the Federal Republic of Yug
oslavia Slobodan Milosevic, President of the Yugoslav Left (JUL) Director
ate Prof. Mira Markovic, foreign diplomats, representatives of religious
communities, veterans of Serbian liberation wars, Presidents of both hous
es of the Yugoslav Assembly Srdja Bozovic and Milomir Minic, President of
the Serbian Assembly Dragan Tomic, Serbian Prime Minister Mirko Marjanov ic,
Secretary-General of the Socialist Party of Serbia Gorica Gajevic, fe deral
and republican ministers, renowned figures of public and cultural l ife,
including the Yugoslav volleyball team, and other guests.
After the national anthem, Yugoslav Prime Minister Momir Bulatovic addre
ssed the gathering.
