[01] YUGOSLAV GOVERNMENT ADOPTS PLATFORM FOR TALKS WITH PARIS CLUBBelgrade, June 3 (Tanjug) - The Yugoslav Government adopted a platform for preliminary talks with the Paris Club in Paris on June 4. The meeting will be the first between the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia and the Paris Club and the beginning of preparations for a normalization of financial relations between Yugoslavia and creditor countries.A process of normalization of relations between Yugoslavia and the International Monetary Fund and other international financial organizations is also in progress. The Yugoslav Government delegation will inform the Paris Club and the French Government of a Yugoslav Government initiative for a resumption of negotiations with the IMF. [02] TALKS ON ARMS CONTROL IN BALKANS ENTER FINAL PHASEVienna, June 3 (Tanjug) - The Conference on Arms Control in the Balkans has entered its final, intensive phase and, although talks are to end by June 6, there are still quite a number of outstanding issues to be solved, Yugoslav Ambassador Dragomir Djokic said Monday.In addition to the Yugoslav delegation, the talks are attended also by delegations of the Republika Srpska, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Moslem-Croat Federation.Djokic said that the Yugoslav delegation would try to reach agreement on the remaining issues, but did not specify the issues. Djokic said it was Yugoslavia's wish that all parties concerned reach agreement on the arms control in the Balkans by the set date, which he said was in their interest. [03] 525,000 REFUGEES REGISTERED IN SERBIA BY MAY 31Belgrade, June 3 (Tanjug) - Serbia's Commissioner for Refugees Bratislava Morina said on Monday that 525,000 refugees and displaced persons from the former Yugoslavia had been registered in Serbia in the period from April 15 to May 31. According to figures available on May 31, 145,000 refugees have been registered in 16 Belgrade municipalities, 221,000 in the northern Serbian province of Vojvodina, 17,000 in Kosovo and Metohija and 142,000 in other areas of Serbia.Morina said that the registration of refugees in Serbia had been prolonged for one week, that is until June 9, in agreement with UNHCR. REPUBLIKA SRPSKA[04] BOSNIAN SERBS DEMAND RELEASE OF 2,300 SERBS HELD BY MUSLIMS, CROATSBelgrade, June 3 (Tanjug) - The Republika Srpska urged Monday an IFOR Commander in Bosnia to help effect an immediate release of about 2,300 Serb soldiers and civilians held in Bosnian Muslim-Croat jails. Republika Srpska first Krajina corps Commander Gen. Momir Talic and the Commander of IFOR sector southwest, Gen. Michael Jackson, were meeting in Banja Luka.The meeting was attended by ICRC official in the Republika Srpska Pierre Kraehenbuhl and by Branko Panic, President of an Association of the families of imprisoned and missing soldiers and civilians from the Serb part of Bosnia-Herzegovina. Panic gave Jackson and Kraehenbuhl a list of 1,300 names of Serb soldiers and nearly 1,000 names of civilians who are still held prisoner in the Muslim-Croat Federation in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Jackson told reporters after the meeting that the Red Cross and he personally would give their attention to the problem and that it was clear that more should be done about it. The problem of prisoners demands a greater effort from the international community and much more good will from all Bosnian parties than has been shown so far, Jackson said. I N T E R V I E W S[05] GERMANY READY TO BACK YUGOSLAV ADMITTANCE TO INTERNATIONAL BODIESBelgrade, June 3 (Tanjug) - Germany is prepared to back the admittance of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia to the international community and its institutions, newly-appointed German Ambassador to Yugoslavia Gerhard Enver Schroembgens said Monday. Speaking in an interview with the Deutsche Welle Radio from Belgrade, Schroembgens stressed the importance of developing economic ties between the two countries, and expressed hope that conditions will be created for reactivating old and closing new contracts on joint investments and cooperation.He said that Bonn, like its European Union partners, expected the relations between the two countries to be determined by Yugoslavia's readiness to implement all provisions of the peace process, as agreed in Dayton, London and Paris.
