BANJA LUKA - The delegates of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska /RS/ has voted last night at the Sixth session in Banja Luka non-confidence to president of Assembly Dragan Kalinic and vice-president Nikola Poplasen , while the proposal for replacement the second vice-president Jovo Mitrovic did not get necessary majority of votes. For sacking president Kalinic have voted 43 delegates of the Serbian Peoples Union /SNS/, socialistic party of RS /SPRS/, Party of independent Social- Democrats /SNSD/ and Coalition for whole and democratic B&H, while 35 delegates of Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/ and Serbian Radical Party /SRS/ were against. Two delegates were restrained. For replacement of vice-president Nikola Poplasen also voted 43 delegates from the same parties, 34 were against and three restrained. The sacked president of National Assembly Dragan Kalinic has assessed the dismissal the part of the assembly leadership as "incredible scandal, because the Serbian delegates from Serbian-Bosniak coalition permitted themselves to dismiss the president and vice-president of Assembly who, also, are members of the Serbian parties". Last night in the exclusive interview for SRNA Kalinic characterised the dismissal of the part of leadership as "janissary coup, concocted much earlier". The sacked vicepresident of the National Assembly of RS Nikola Poplasen warned last night in the statement for SRNA that the decision about his and president Kalinic's dismissal was brought without arguments, under the political pressure of the High international representative for B&H Carlos Westendorp. "In the scene are new concessions, new failures of Serbian delegates, and unfortunately, new fall of RS" - said Poplasen at the end of the first part of the Sixth session of the National Assembly in Banja Luka.

ATHENS - The president of RS Biljana Plavsic talked last night in Athens with the Greek minister of defence Akis Tsohatsopulos about the crisis in Kosmet and implementing Dayton Agreement in B&H. They have presented the joint stance that the problems in Kosovo and Metohija could and must be overcome only in peaceful way.

BANJA LUKA - SPRS, SNS, SNSD, i.e. their "Coalition Concordance", are the constitutive part of the Coalition for whole and democratic B&H, concluded in Banja Luka the vice-president of SDS Dragan Cavic. In the statement for Banja Luka radio "St. George" he assessed that these parties have assembly majority which, as he said, on the great misfortune of Serbian people they are fully and certainly using for neutralising RS.

SARAJEVO - The governor of the Central Bank /CB/ of B&H Peter Nicoll will open the fourth office of this bank in Banja Luka at 12, 300 h, which director will be Mira Jacimovic. In the public announcement of CB, forwarded to SRNA, is stressed that the office will be placed in the premises of the former National Bank of RS, and that the ceremony of opening will be attended by vice-governors Ljubisa Vladusic, Dragan Kovacevic and Enver Backovic.

BANJA LUKA - In the continuation of the Sixth session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska /RS/ in Banja Luka the delegates of the Serbian democratic Party /SDS/ did not accept the proposal of the Commission for election and nominations that the new president of parliament should be from this party. The chief of the delegate club of SDS Aleksa Buha said that "the party has no better candidate than Dragan Kalinic for that post". "You must go on another solution", said Buha, assessing as the shameful last night's part of session, at which the delegates has voted non-confidence for Kalinic and vice-president Nikola Poplasen.

ROME - The Italian media are conveying the statement of president of RS Biljana Plavsic who is in more days visit to Greece that "she is surprised that at the end of 20th century NATO is solving problems by threats with bombing". "Kosmet belongs to Serbia and FR Yugoslavia /FRY/, and only in the framework of them should be found solutions for the situation in that province" - stressed that Mrs. Plavsic after the meeting with the president of Greek parliament Apostolas Kaklamanis.

BANJA LAKA - The delegation of RS Government lead by the vice-president and minister for administration and local selfgovernance Ostoja Knezevic will visit Council of Europe in Strasbourg from June 17 until 21. According to the announcement of the Ministry of Information of RS, it was planned that the delegation should talk with the directors for environment and local authorities Ferdinand Albanez and for service and environment democracy Ekhert Miller-Rapard.

BANJA LUKA - Social-liberal party of RS do not bring into question the base and necessity of the dismissal of leadership of National Assembly of RS, but it deems that its supporters acted scandalously. In the public announcement of this party is stated that the explanation for dismissal of president and two vicepresidents of RS parliament, submitted by Serbian People's Union, Socialistic Party of RS /SPRS/ and Party of Independent Social- Democrats /SNSD/, "did not contained the real reasons".

SARAJEVO - The delegates of SNS, SPRS and SNSD have got the mandate to protect the integrity of RS and not to participate with Coalition for democratic and whole B&H in splitting our dearest achievement, sent a message the municipal board of SDS of Serbian Sarajevo. In the announcement, issued on the occasion of the dismissal of the assembly leadership, is stated that discord in RS is becoming the internal matter of B&H and that it is the chance for destroying RS.

NOVI SAD - The president of City Board of Serbian Radical Party /SRS/ of Novi Sad Igor Mirovic assessed that last night's dismissal of president and vice-president of National Assembly of RS is another act of non-principle coalition in its rows. "I am sure that the dismissals will have detrimental consequences for RS, but SRS furthermore stands on the position of its political platform, from which they will not deviate", said Mirovic at the press conference in Novi Sad.

PRIJEDOR - The secretary general of the Radical Party of RS Miodrag Deretic stated in Prijedor that the dismissal of assembly leadership is not in question, but the way how it was performed, i.e. no one valid reason or argument was given. Assessing the yesterday's work of National Assembly, vice-president of the party Goran Mujanac said that the Serbian discord is continued and disgrace of Assembly, as the highest legislative body what is "already becoming critical".

HAGUE - The Serbian Milorad Krnojevac, arrested on June 15 in Srbinje by the members of SFOR and extradited to Hague, will be heard on Thursday, June 18, at 9,30 h in the Court chamber 2 before the commission consisting of the judges Cassese, May and Mumba. In the public announcement of the Hague Tribunal is stated that the indictment against Krnojelac was submitted by the prosecutor of this court on June 6 last year, and on June 17 confirmed the judge Forah, demanding not to publish it until arresting and extradition".

SARAJEVO - The UN and IPTF spokesman Alexander Ivanko said in Sarajevo that against yesterday arrested Milorad Krnojelac on June 6 1997 was submitted the sealed indictment for war crimes, which was not published at the demand of the Hague Tribunal. At the press conference, Ivanko said that Krnojelac arrived to Hague on June 15 at 17,00 h, where he is informed about his rights. The first appearance before the Court was scheduled for June 18.

PRIJEDOR - The group of Moslem refugees from Sweden will visit Prijedor municipality in an organised visit, from July 6 to 10, was agreed at the meeting of the president of Municipal assembly of Prijedor Borislav Maric and delegation of Swedish Embassy in Sarajevo lead by the first secretary Byorn Mosberg. The visit in the organisation of the Swedish emigration office will have the informational character and the coming of two buses with Moslems from Sweden is foreseen.

PRISTINA - The reserve policeman Rajko Gajic was killed in his home in the village Beric, in the municipality Istok, and his corpse was found at 6,30 h, was announced by the media centre in Pristina. The village Beric is in the Drenica region near the road Kosovska Mitrovica - Pec, where in last months was recorded more terroristic attacks at the members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of serbia and Serbian civilians.

PRISTINA - The Albanian terrorists kidnapped on June 15 in the village Kotore, municipality Srbica and taken away in the unknown direction Cedomir Kandic /57/, who lived with his mother Draginja /74/ - learns SRNA from the representatives of the local authorities. It is supposed that Kandic was taken away in the detention camp for Serbs formed in the village Izbica by Albanian rebels.

PRISTINA - The Albanian terrorists raided into the house of Savo /73/ and Novka /60/ Zivkovic in the village Bukos near Vucitrn and have beaten them. Terrorists have previously searched the house but they did not find the weapons which they have been looking for. They ordered family Zivkovic to move from the allegedly Albanian land.

PRISTINA - The Albanian terrorists yesterday in the afternoon for the second time have attacked and burned the household of family of Djordje Maljevic, one of the most numerous in this region. For the first time it was done on October 31 1989, and the family Maljevic has built another facilities on the same site.

PRISTINA - In Pristina Army Home to reporters was presented the weapons which in last several days Albanian terrorists had tried to transport over the border with Albania to Yugoslavia. At the exhibition was presented recoilles gun, two anti-aircraft machine guns,one system 'ambrust", two bazookas of Russian production, the same number of hand rocket launchers 64 mm, tens of half-automatic and machine guns, two snipers and around 1,000 hand bombs with fuses.

PRISTINA - The regional Prosecution Office in Pec has submitted to the Regional Court the requirement for investigation against 16 Albanians from the municipality Djakovica because of the founded doubt that they have committed the crime of terrorism. The requirement is submitted against Imer, Naim, Ibrahim and Elez Krti, Ismet, Bajram, and Ahmet Ahmeti, Redza and Fljorim Redzaj, Mehmet and Dervis Rahmani, Ramo Ramaj, Veseljaj and BEzanij Spenda and Hakija Nuza, all from the village Smionica, and Hadzija Redza from the village Dobros near Djakovica.

KRAGUJEVAC - Around 200 parents which sons are at the military service on Kosovo will depart with the mayor of Kragujevac Veroljub Stevanovic into this Southern Serbian province in order to visit their children about whom they had not heard anything already one month. Before departure Stevanovic has stated for SRNA that the basic aim of travelling is the desire of parents to see their sons.

BANJA LUKA - The new president of National Assembly of Republika Srpska /RS/ is Petar Djokic from Brcko, the delegate of the Socialistic Party /SP/ of RS - was decided at the continued session of parliament in Banja Luka. For the vice-president was elected Safet Bico, the delegate of Coalition for whole and democratic B&H, while the second vice-president Jovan Mitrovic from Serbian People's Union /SNS/remained at the same post. In the moment of voting for election of Safet Bico the delegates of SDS and SRS (radicals) have left the assembly premises. During the bitter debate about offered candidates the delegates of SDS and SRS has again expressed the discord with the policy of delegates from the governing parties, reproaching them for, as they said, "cancelling the results of the four years struggle for RS". The delegates of SDS, as the party which at elections has got the greatest number of mandates in the National Assembly, rejected to give another proposal for president explaining that their only delegate for that post is the former president Dragan Kalinic and that the reasons cited for his dismissal are not in accordance with Constitution and Law.

BANJA LUKA - After electing the new president of National Assembly of RS, Petar Djokic and vice-president. Safet Bico, the delegates of SRS insisted that the newly elected leadership should perform the solemn swear, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the Highest legislative body in RS. The delegates of the Coalition called upon the attitude of international community and permission of OSCE to participate in the work of the National Assembly, without swearing previously and they demand that right now to be applied. Finally, with 44 votes was accepted the proposal of the president of parliament that international community should give the final word about that is it necessary that newly appointed president and vice-president of Assembly should swear solemnly, and that the top legislative body should continue the work in accordance with the Agenda.

SARAJEVO - The president in the Presidency of B&H form RS Momcilo Krajisnik assessed in Pale that the catastrophic decision of the Republican authorises have made division of National Assembly and Serbian people as the whole. Krajisnik expressed the worry because of the last night's decisions of assembly. "Newly arisen divisions could hardly be overcome in the next period and for that the especial responsibility lies on actual administration with president Biljana Plavsic at its head", said Krajisnik.

SRBAC - The president of the Government of RS Milorad Dodik talked in Srbac with the president of Municipal Assembly and Executive Board Boro Guzvic and Goran Kljajcin about the governmental activities on start-up of production and creating better living conditions for citizens in the region of this municipality. dodik reminded that the state enterprise Trikokart in which 260 workers are working in the three shifts in order to finish contracted job of 2,500,000 DEM. The president of RS Government visited the enterprise Zivinoprodukt, and praised the commitment of the Srbac economists and manufacturers on enlivening the production and promised that RS Government, according to its capacity, will financially support its rehabilitation, especially in those firms which are satisfying the needs of the republic.

BANJA LUKA - The chief of the General Staff of RS ARMY general Momir Talic congratulated the end of training to the attendants of the First Class of soldiers for de-mining in the School for training de-miners of RS in Banja Luka military Barracks "Kozara", stressing that this is difficult and dangerous, but primarily humane work. The general Talic reminded that this job until now have performed 16 teams of nine people each. The fist class of training according to the new principle of work, in which is achieved the maximal security for people, attended, from May 13 until June 2, 23 persons - 21 members of VRS and two members of civilian organisation MAC.

BANJA LUKA - Besides the main units of the Central Bank /CB/ of B&H in Pale, Mostar and Sarajevo, in Banja Luka was opened the Office of this bank in the presence of Peter Nicoll, the vicegovernors Ljubisa Vladusic, Dragan Kovacevic and Enver Backovic. It is a lower level organisational form of CB, which main task will be to follow the accounts of commercial banks in this region, by which will be fully maintained the daily liquidity of this financial institutions. At the press conference the Governor Nicoll repeated that on Monday, June 22, will be put into the circulation the convertible mark in all three units of the Central Bank of B&H - in Pale, Sarajevo and Mostar - and afterwards in all offices of payment system.

BANJA LUKA - The IPTF spokesman for the region of Banja Luka and Bihac Alun Roberts stated in Banja Luka that in cantons 7,8 and 10 in the Federation B&H /FB&H/ commenced issuing of the new registering plates and traffic licenses. He warned that the vehicles from the canton 10 are still crossing the border with Croatia with old registering plates, because of what IPTF have sent even 90 warnings to the local Croatian authiorities. According to him, ten Serbian policemen visited on June 11 Livno, where with the there chief of police have talked about the possibility of employment in Drvar and confirmed that the agreement was not reached because, as he claims, Serbian policemen wanted to work only in Drvar, while it was offered to them to work also in another places of this canton.

SRBINJE - The municipal board of SDS of Srbinje vigorously protested because of arresting the Milorad Krnojelac, extradite by the SFOR members to Hague. "With vandalism and in primitive way was taken from his job Milorad Krnojelac, the professor of mathematics and director of the school "Veselin Maslesa", most probably to fulfil the row in the newly built court in Hague equipped for Serbs" - is said in the announcement.

PRIJEDOR - The president of the Municipal board of SNS of Prijedor TOmislav Prpos thinks that this party, by stepping into coalition with socialists and Party of independent socialdemocrats of RS did not loose anything from its identity. According to Prpos, the aim of this coalition is to prevent dividing into small peaces the Serbian electorate.

BANJA LUKA - In Banja Luka was opened the Second international fair of furniture, equipment, machines, tools and internal decoration SAN '98 at which participate 54 exhibitors from RS, FR Yugoslavia /FRY/, FYRM, Slovenia, Italy and FB&H. While opening the Fair the mayor of Banja Luka Djordje Umicevic stressed that this gathering shows to neighbours and other European countries openness and equal cooperation of RS at all fields of activities. The fair will be opened until June 20.

NOVI SAD - And after 15 days since the beginning of registering refugees for the elections in RS and FB&H in the region of Novi Sad the turnout is very weak. "Registering Commission in Novi sad checked out 1,300 refugees and displaced persons who are enfranchised, 250 newly enlisted", stressed in Novi Sad the coordinator of the commission Milena Dakic. According to her, the former turnout of voters is not enough, especially having in mind that for the last year's parliamentary elections was registered 7,500 refugees and displaced persons.

SARAJEVO - The president of the initiative board for founding the new party of Croats in FB&H Ivo Lozancic accused his former party Croatian Democratic Community that it works only for the interests of Croats in western Hercegovina and stressed that "the new Croatian initiative" will make its efforts on constitutiveness of Croats in the whole region of B&H. The Croatian media report that in spite the fact that the number of members of the Initiative board was reduced in last 20 days from 37 on 20 , Lozancic announced the founding assembly "of the new Croatian initiative" for June 27.

BANJA LUKA - The National Assembly of Republika Srpska /RS/ in the continuation of the Sixth session in Banja Luka nominated Jovo Rosic for the president of the Supreme Court of RS and the former president Stanislav Stanojevic was released from the duty. At the proposal of the commission for election and nominations for the Republican Public Attorney was elected Ljiljana Peic, and previous attorney Stevan Stevic was released from same duty. For deputy republican public attorney was elected Milenko Radovic. Mr. Jovo Rosic, the former judge of the Constitutional Court of RS, was released from the duty, because he was elected on the new duty. The assembly released from duty also the former members of the Steering Board of the enterprise Lottery of RS Velimir Sudar, Radivoje Duvnjak, Zdravko Marinkovic and Goran Saula, and they are replaced by Milovan Carek, Branislav Lolic, Djordje Milec, Ognjen Jakovljevic and GOran Saula. The former director of Lottery of RS Velimir Sudar was released from duty and on his post was nominated Mile Radisic

BANJA LUKA - Petar Djokic, the president of the National Assembly of RS, was born on July 29, 1961 in Brcko, and his profession is economist. He is employed in his own private enterprise Intermarket in Brcko. The secondary school, former MUP of B&H, he finished in Sarajevo and Economy faculty in Belgrade. The vice-president of National assembly Safet Bico was born on May 9, 1953 in Cajnice, and his profession is gynecologist. He finished the Grammar School in Cajnice and Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo, where he specialised. He is the president of the Club of delegates of the Coalition for whole and democratic B&H.

BRCKO - Several hundred of citizens of the Serbian nationality in Brcko settlement Klanac on the peaceful way prevented the members of the Commission for return, which acts under the auspices of the Office of Supervisor, to mark the houses in which Moslems and Croats should return. As SRNA learns, the Commission for return has approved 82 applications for return of Moslem and Croatian families in settlements Klanac and Rijeke in the interior of municipality Brcko. The settlement Klanac is dominantly inhabited by refugees from Serbian Sarajevo.

SARAJEVO - The president of Local electoral commission Mirko Bozovic stated for SRNA that the registering of voters in the municipality Serbian Ilidza is underway in the expected dynamics - out of total 10,048 voters from voting list 8,734 has taken their cars, and of 991 cards with error the registration was renewed by 161 voters.
