NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

NEW YORK - The premier of Republika Srpska /RS/ Milorad Dodik and members of delegation of RS Government are met in Washington on the big gate and with wide spread hands, and the pinnacle of hospitability represent their acceptance by U.S. State Secretary Madeleine Albright - learns SRNA from well informed sources. The officials of state Department announced that immediately after the meeting. the announcement will be issued about results of talks between Dodik and Mrs. Albright.

SARAJEVO - The co-presiding of the Council of Ministers of B&H Boro Bosic with the pleasure accepted the invitation of the Swedish premier to visit Sweden on April 21 and 22. The invitation was delivered to Mr. Bosic in Pale by the Swedish Ambassador to B&H Nils Eliason, is announced from the Cabinet of the copresiding of the Council of Ministers of B&H. Bosic talked also with the chief of the Russian diplomatic mission in B&H Jakov Gerasimov about implementation of Dayton Accords, with the particular accent on the work and functioning of the Council of Ministers and results of recent visit of the special envoy of Russian Federation in B&H Alexander Axeniak to RS.

BELGRADE - The vice-president of Congregational National Party /SNS/ Dragoljub Zivkovic assessed that any day of postponing of solving the status of Brcko the step far from final solution. "The only just solution, according to the opinion of SNS, is remaining of this town in composition of RS" - said Zivkovic.

SARAJEVO - The spokesman of UN Mission in B&H Alexander Ivanko stated that last night in Drvar were burned another two Serbian houses, warning that this represent "serious problem and threat to Serbs who want to return to their homes in this town". At the regular, joint press conference of international organisations in Sarajevo, Ivanko said that from local police of Drvar "is expected to bring to the end these problems". In the special statement for SRNA Ivanko confirmed that Serbian Goran Vasic, kidnapped by Federal policemen, are every day visiting members of IPTF and people in charge for protection of human tights, in order to provide the medical care and secure protection from being mistreated.

DOBOJ - The Moslem returnees in the settlement Svjetlica, in the zone of separation North-East from Doboj, last night upset the local Serbian residents by setting fire - was announced by the Centre for Public Security /CJB/ Doboj. Uncontrolled setting fire after field works provoked the suspicion and anxiety in the city zone of Doboj, after what the police was alarmed, which intervened in Svjetlica.

VIENNA - The co-presiding of the Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE Javier Rouperez said at the continuation of session of this body in Vienna that this organisation do not support any independence of Kosovo, nor changing borders of FR Yugoslavia /FRY/. Expressing the worry of international community because of the situation in Kosovo, Rouperez assessed that "the crisis in that region could provoke until now most serious conflict in the region of former Yugoslavia". The representatives of U.S. proposed today to this body to adopt resolution in which will condemn terroristic attack in Kosovo.

BRUSSELS - The Council of NATO, in consultations with Russia and other partners outside Alliance decided in Brussels that international forces, which will next June replace SFOR to stay in Bosnia and after the September's elections, in the number of 35,000 troops - report agencies. In the composition of new troops, which will keep the name Stabilisation Forces /SFOR/, will be also the special unit with about 1,000 soldiers, which will have special tasks in keeping "public peace and order".

MADRID - As the sign of protest against eventual military action against Iraq, around 50 Spanish and South- American intellectuals signed the "Manifesto against war", which copy was forwarded to AFP. The manifesto, signed between others, by Catalonia author Manuel Vasquez Montalban, the actor Francisco Rabal, Uruguay essayist Eduardo Galeano and producer Moncho Armendarez, contains triple appeal: against new war with Iraq, Spanish collaboration and embargo against Iraq imposed 1990.

PRIJEDOR - The Municipal Board of the Serbian Democratic Party /OO SDS/ of Prijedor thinks that the meeting of representatives of refugees and international organisations, the deputy High Representative for civil affairs in B&H Hans Schumacher, held during this week in Prijedor, was not of official character. "The meeting was not attended by all representatives of legislative and executive authorities in Prijedor, nor all representatives of parliamentary political parties which makes the convocation of municipal assembly" - explained the president of municipal board of SDS Dusan Beric at the press conference in Prijedor.
