NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA - The newly elected mayor of Banja Luka Djordje Umicevic scheduled for tomorrow at 12 h the first work session of the City Assembly, and the newly elected president of Executive Board Nebojsa Radmanovic should have proposed seven members and two vice-presidents of the city government.

SARAJEVO - The Greek minister of Defence Akis Tsohatsopulos should arrive to Sarajevo, where he will meet the presiding in the Presidency of B&H Alija Izetbegovic, while with other two members of Presidency he will talk tomorrow.

MOSCOW - The Prime Minister of Montenegro /CG/ Milo Djukanovic underlined after the talks with mayor of Moscow Yuriy Luschkov that "Montenegro is rapidly trying to catch the pace with the rest of the world, but do not meet always the understanding within FR Yugoslavia, because opening towards the world Belgrade sometimes explains as the secessionist intentions".

SARAJEVO - The office of the High civilian Representative in B&H demands from National Assembly and Government of Republika Srpska /RS/ in next months to fulfil the obligations from the list of priorities which at the yesterday's Inaugural session of Parliament in Bijeljina delivered the Deputy High Representative Hans Schumacher. As stated in the announcement from the Office of the High Representative, between priorities placed before the highest legislative and executive body in RS are "arresting indicted for war crimes who are under the jurisdiction of RS and their extradition to Hague Tribunal". From the National Assembly and Government of RS also is demanded to "create conditions for return of refugees in their homes of origin".

BRCKO - The head of the Police Station in Brcko Teodor Gavric stated for SRNA that 230 policemen, between which 90 Moslems and 20 Croats, would tomorrow take over the arms and police uniforms with RS signs. Gavric announced that these policemen - who previously had training course and met criteria of IPTF - by the new year should start to patrol in the zone of separation.
