DEC. 11, 1997 EVENING

NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BELGRADE - The president of Republika Srpska (RS) Biljana Plavsic arrived at 3,30 pm at Belgrade airport "Surcin" from Bonn. A car was waiting for her at the runway, so journalists, gathered in the airport building, did not have a chance to get a statement.

SARAJEVO - The president from RS in B&H Presidency Momcilo Krajisnik assessed in Pale that all proposals for expanding of the mandate of the High Representative in B&H are counterproductive, because all sides have to be responsible for the implementation of the Dayton Agreement. At the press conference held on the occasion of the end of the Conference for implementation of peace, held in Bonn, Krajisnik emphasised that RS delegation requested that the mandate of the High Representative should be coordinated with his authorities from the Dayton Agreement.

BELGRADE - Serbian Radical Party (SRS) and Serbian Democratic Party are not taking no reserve coalition partners in RS into account, because patriots should be in power, and not American servants and spies, stated in Belgrade the vice-president of Radicals Tomislav Nikolic. Speaking about the Bonn Summit and decision of delegations of RS and FR Yugoslavia (FRJ) to leave the Conference because of including the question of Kosovo in agenda, Nikolic said that it looks like the election campaign of Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS).

BELGRADE - The spokesman of SPS Ivica Dacic confirmed that consultations and talks with the leaders of SP RS about its performing in organising of the new authority in RS are going to take place very soon." Until now it has not been discussed, but the main goal of SP RS is stability and economic recovery of RS , and we think it should be goal of all other political parties", said Dacic.

BELGRADE - The president of Democratic Party of Serbia Vojislav Kostunica assessed in Belgrade that the dispute regarding Yugoslavia delegation leaving the Conference on B&H in Bonn could have and had to be avoided. "The organisers of the Bonn Conference acted strangely and at least improper including the question of Kosovo in agenda of the gathering which should have dealt fully only with the problem of B&H", emphasised Kostunica.

BELGRADE - The vice-president of Democratic Centre Desimir Tosic assessed in Belgrade that FRJ and RS delegations have made a great mistake when they left the Bonn Conference. In statement for SRNA Tosic said that "only a country which is strong as the International Community itself can indulge itself in something like this is".

NOVI SAD - Kosovo and Metohija are inalienable parts of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and FRJ and there is and can not be no bargain about that - stated for SRNA the chief of the county of South Backa and the member of the Provincial board of SPS Obrad Milosevic.

DOBOJ - The spokesman of the International Police Task Forces (IPTF) in Tuzla Andre Agneli denied information of the press agencies from B&H Federation Habena and Onasa that members of the Ministry on Internal Affairs of RS, loyal to the president Biljana Plavsic took over the control over police in Brcko.

VUKOVAR - The president of Joint Council of Municipalities Milos Vojnovic and the chief of the EU Monitoring Mission in the county of Srem and Baranja Gustav Meze assessed in Vukovar that the peace process is not ending with the expiration of UNTAES mandate and that the presence of international forces in this region is necessary.

BANJALUKA - The president of Republika Srpska (RS) Biljana Plavsic stated in Banjaluka that the conclusions from the Bonn Conference, among which is the extension of the mandate of the high civilian representative for B&H Carlos Westendorp, are not upsetting for the Serbian people. Ms Plavsic emphasised that in her presentation in Bonn she paid great attention to refugees in RS, reminding that refugees from county of Srem and Baranja are still arriving to RS.

BANJALUKA - Socialist party of RS approves the act of RS delegation which has left the Bonn Conference as a symbol of solidarity with the delegation of FR Yugoslavia (FRY) at the attempt of imposition of the question of Kosovo - stated in Banjaluka the president of this party Zivko Radisic.

BELGRADE - Failure of the Bonn Conference definitely revealed that some factors in the International community are carrying out unrealistic policy toward the Serbian people - is cited in the statement of Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) of Serbia. SDS of Serbia thinks that joint reaction of RS and FRY delegations on the attempt of introduction if the question of Kosovo into agenda of the Conference is showing that there is Serbian national consensus on that matter.

BELGRADE - Serbian Movement of Renewal (SPO) thinks that the decision of FRY delegation to leave the Bonn conference is "an act to the benefit of state and national damage". "In the final document of the Conference the fact that Kosovo and Metohija are unalienable part of Serbia is not endangered, but only the concern because of growth of dangerous tensions in that part of the Republic", is said in the announcement of SPO.
