NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA - The Vice-President of Republika Srpska (RS) and the rector of Banjaluka university Dragoljub Mirjanic announced that the Republic Slovenia will finance including of RS and Bosnia and Herzegovina Federation (FB&H) libraries in Internet. After the talks with representatives of the Slovenian Ministry for Science and Technology in Banjaluka, Mirjanic stated that Slovenia had taken over obligation to finance the realisation of this project what will cost 3 million of dollars by year.

SARAJEVO - During the talks in Pale with the members of the EU Monitoring mission Horst Denekem and Joseph Kotlar the RS Minister of energetics Milorad Skoko emphasised that RS, in contrast to FB&H, till now did not got not one single penny for energetics area, except some smaller donations from England, although the exchange of electric energy with FB&H is undiluted.

KOZARSKA DUBICA - At the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) preelection rally the Prime Minister of Republika Srpska (RS) Gojko Klickovic emphasised that Serbian people can survive only in complete RS - from Sipovo via Novi Grad till Trebinje. Klickovic considers that the early parliamentary elections can solve political and constitutional crisis which is "only an excuse for something much seriously what is going on in RS and it is not in the interest of the Serbian people".

SARAJEVO - From the aspect of defense the RS is more interested for including into some military alliance in Europe which would guarantee European Security and cooperation because in the NATO the RS would be subordinated - emphasised the RS Defence Minister Deputy Dragan Kapetina in the broadcast "Government talks" of the Orthodox radio station "St. John". Kapetina reminded that the programme "Train and Equip" which was offered to the Bosnia and Herzegovina Federation (FB&H) and to RS, will be considered at the future sessions of the Permanent military committee and the B&H Presidency.

SARAJEVO - From 1992 till now the RS Ministry of Health Care accomplished projects worth 36 millions DM, and currently the realisation of 41 million DM worth programmes is in progress - emphasised the Minister of Health Care Deputy, doctor Ljiljana

Zelen - Karadzic and added in the broadcast "Government talks" of the Orthodox radio station "St. John", that at the moment purchasing of the medical equipment over the World Bank medical service is in progress.

SREBRENICA - The RS Minister for Refugees and Displaced Persons Slobodan Ecimovic yesterday achieved agreement with the representatives of Srebrenica Municipal Assembly about the spending dynamics of funds which RS Government appropriated for reconstruction of buildings and houses which are damaged during the war, especially those which are settled by the families of killed and disabled soldiers. According to agreement in the next seven days it is necessary to draw up an estimate and specification of expenses for reconstruction of 15 houses. Also it is necessary to provide the list of required materials for reconstruction of the most damaged roof constructions, what will the RS Government cost 200 000 DM .

SARAJEVO - The pre-elections campaign enters in the last week and, disregarding on conditions (political and material ones), all bigger parties which, according to general assessments, have a chance to create the future political destiny of RS had presented theirs political point of view. The SDS, Socialist Party (SP), Serbian Radical Party (SRS) and the newly formed Serbian National Union (SNS) have outlined basic campaigns; they basically coincides in some things, and disagrees in others. The outlook "Four looks on RS" of the SRNA editor Nenad Tadic.

BANJALUKA - The Socialist Party of RS (SPRS) had pointed out at an unacceptable work of the state media which unfairly favouring SNS in theirs programmes. According to SPRS statement "the SPRS considers that this kind of informing does not contributes to democratisation process because we are for united media space and equal access and treatment of all parties".

BANJALUKA - The President of the National Party of RS Radoslav Brdjanin asked yesterday in Banjaluka full publicity of work of the RS President Biljana Plavsic Cabinet.

SARAJEVO - The Archbishop of Vrhbosna Cardinal Vinko Puljic warns that "a large number of Croats is expelled" from FB&H, and that they are in "serious social and material position, especially those which cannot turn back in theirs homes under Muslim control". Puljic received in Sarajevo special envoy of Republic Croatia for relations with FB&H Frano Gregoric and introduced him with difficulties which Catholic church has in areas under Muslim control - reports Croatian media.

BRCKO - The SRS municipal board in Brcko warned that the President of the Municipal Assembly in Brcko was not chosen, but positioned by supervisor Robert Farand. According to SRS statement Mr. Farand "does not respects the results of municipal elections and the will of the people but attempts to establish municipal authority by his own taste".

BRCKO - At the journalist question, who is the President of the municipal assembly - after the last night constitutional session of the municipal assembly in Brcko - majority of delegates did not knew the answer. This portraits the future role of the municipal assembly in Brcko which should be the model town for organisation of complete B&H.

BRCKO - The International supervisor Robert Farand denounced the joint statement for publicity of the Veterans of war and others associations in which is the claim that among FB&H delegates in the Brcko municipal assembly are war criminals. According to the statement forwarded to SRNA "none of these persons which are in the joint statement is not on the UN Tribunal for former Yugoslavia war crimes lists".

BANJALUKA - The President of Democratic Party for Banjaluka and Krajina Nikola Spiric assessed in Banjaluka that parliamentary elections will not solve current crisis and that is necessary to hold Presidential elections too. "It seems that RS President Biljana Plavsic is in love in policy, and that she is more and more the President of SNS" - stated Spiric at the press conference.

SARAJEVO - The Muslim authority prevents the Bosnian Croats representatives in the Sarajevo canton to participate in the legislative and executive authority - about what they informed the President in B&H Presidency Kresimir Zubak - reports Croatian media.

BRATUNAC - The fifth anniversary of forming the 501 infantry brigade from Bratunac was kept in this town.
