NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

AMSTERDAM - The Muslim part of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Federation (FB&H) persistently and intensively continues to arms and prepares itself for military operations - warns a commentator in the todays issue of the Dutch daily newspaper "Folkskrant". According to his opinion, the Muslim leaders do not rely much hope in taking over state institutions in the strategic municipalities of the Republika Srpska (RS) by agreements and on peaceful way, and because of that they are undertaking extensive military preparations.

DOBOJ - Ongoing of the railway traffic between cities in FB&H across RS territory is undisturbed - stated the main office of the RS Railway in Doboj. According to statement on October 24 trough railway stations Petrovo and Doboj two large trains made of 38 freight and two hauling cars had passed on route Tuzla - Maglaj.

BEOGRAD - At the 42 international book fair in Belgrade the academician Milorad Ekmecic's book "Works from the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the nineteen century" which is published by Belgrade publishing firm is represented. "This book represents a collection of works about B&H history in period from 1830 - 1914 and fruits of the long duration researching of the specific historical themes" - said academician Ekmecic.

NEVESINJE - The socially most in need residents of the Nevesinje received humanitarian aid of 860 packages with food and hygienic products. Donator is the Spanish non-government humanitarian organisation MPDL.

SARAJEVO - In the deadline of 10 days the pensioners in RS will receive packages in value of two outstanding pensions from 1996, and till the end of current year in cooperation with the Public fund for pension insurance another four pension will be provided - announced the RS Prime Minister Gojko Klickovic office. On yesterday's meeting of the executive board of the RS pensioners association assembly in Bijeljina, in which participated and Prime minister Gojko Klickovic, it is highlighted that packages are unique regardless on amount of individual pensions.

SARAJEVO - The RS Government had provided funds for health care of the Internal Affairs institutions members and their families - it is stated in Governmental announcement signed by Prime minister Gojko Klickovic. The funds are provided till January 1, next year and it will be immediately transferred at the accounts of the competent medical institutions.

BANJALUKA - The minister for information in RS Government Svjetlana Siljegovic in an interview for "Glas Srpski" warned that banning of the programme broadcasting from studio Sarajevo of the Serbian Radio Television (SRT) is an introduction to complete repealing of the RS national television. "I think that primary aim is not creating some new 'democratic' television, the aim is complete repealing of the SRT, and that has to be clear to anyone" - ascertained Siljegovic reminding that Dayton agreement "does not understands common informing at B&H level".

VIENNA - The members of the Serbian organisations in emigration forwarded a petition to the highest state organs of the Serbia, Montenegro and Federal Republic Yugoslavia demanding the suspension of the court process and abolition of the police wanted circular for well known Serbian author and SRNA correspondent from Vienna Petar Milatovic Ostroski. The district attorney office in Podgorica had started court process and Montenegrian police had posted a wanted circular for Mr. Ostroski, because trough his well-known motion for Draft of the Serbian national programme from 1989, he was the first intellectual after the WW2 which is pleaded for creating of the Serbian national state.

LONDON - The correspondent of "Guardian" from Belgrade Christopher Eliot depicts the case of Milan Dokmanovic, the refugee from Krajina, who killed his father and mother and after that himself, stressing that it is only one small part in the alarming increase of murders and suicides between refugees in FR Yugoslavia. "According to assessments, there is around 566, 000 of refugees in FRY, which is according to the data of ICRC the greatest refugee group in Europe. Their misfortune remains unnoticed in the world, which is weakly inclined towards anything Serbian, and it is so much greater because the host country because of its own problems wants to get rid of them as soon as possible" - writes "Guardian".

BANJA LUKA - For early parliamentary elections in RS, scheduled for November 23, is registered 170 political parties and independent candidates - was confirmed in OSCE Regional centre in Banja Luka. It is stated that this number is not final since the OSCE Control Commission has to found out the validity of applications.

DOBOJ - The electoral staff of the Municipal organisation of the Serbian Democratic Party /SDS/ of Doboj announced that they made a lists of candidates for future members of the local boards and Assembly of the municipal organisation of this party. According to the announcement of the Executive head office, all the technical preparations were made, so on tomorrow's elections by secret ballot will be elected new representatives of this party.

DOBOJ - By adopting the acts and programme objectives in Doboj was constituted the Municipal Board of the Pensioner's Party, which will fight for solving the social problems and improvement of the social status of pensioners.
