The people in RS are calm since the agreement was signed in Belgrade, according to which the parliamentary elections are quite certain. The most important state institution - the National Assembly of RS is to be established at the elections to come, stated the president Plavsic. While speaking about this morning's incident concerning the seizuring of the TV transmitter in the eastern part of RS, Plavsic stated that she is not familiar with the details but, according to her opinion, a violation of the provisions of the agreement reached between the president from RS in the B&H Presidency, Momcilo Krajisnik, and the SFOR commander, Eric Shinseky, is dealt here with. SARAJEVO - The president of RS in the B&H Presidency, Momcilo Krajisnik, stated that he is astonished with the actions of NATO forces which took control over four Serb Radio-TV transmitters of Trebevic, Duge njive, Udrigovo and Leotar, reports AFP. The president Krajisnik expressed his fear that a very dangerous game of this may have uncontrollable consequences. As the president of the RS Parliament, Dragan Kalinic, stated the Serbian side is ready to talk with representatives of the international community about the way on which it [Serb side] was presented on the media in RS. BELGRADE - The president from RS in the B&H Presidency, Momcilo Krajisnik, stated for tomorrow's edition of the 'Oslobodjenje' that the presidential elections in RS are to be held on December 7th and that there can be no changes. SERB SARAJEVO - The director-general of the Serb Radio-TV (SRT), Miroslav Toholj, announced at a press conference that the Serb TV, Studio in Pale will broadcast its programme tomorrow. As he said, this morning's action taken by SFOR would not be a problem if SFOR soldiers had not forced the technical staff to turn off the SRT transmitter and the transmitter through which the SRT programme is broadcast. Until he met with the RS leadership and representatives of the Serb Radio-TV, general Figers did not know that the transmitter on Mt. Trebevic was turned off because of which, as Toholj said, he was very angry. DOBOJ - The action of capturing of a transmitter of SRT's in Duge njive, a place between Doboj and Modrica, was carried out by American soldiers participating in the multinational division 'North' of which the Headquarters is in Tuzla, learns a SRNA's correspondent from Doboj. The SFOR Nordic-Poland Headquarters in Doboj assessed the current situation as calm, mentioning that American soldiers are still in the vicinity of the transmitter in Duge njive. SARAJEVO - By the capturing of the SRT transmitters, SFOR showed once again that, with the help of forces inclined to collaboration, it is ready not only to break the sovereignty but also freedom of thought and media in RS, stated SRNA's member of the RS Senate, Kosta Cavoski. He assessed that NATO tries, on the pretext of the implementation of the Dayton Agreement, to destroy fully not only the independency and national identity of RS but also freedom of speech. PARIS - A French author of a Serb origin and senator of RS, Milena Nokovic, condemned the international community's action i.e. SFOR's action conducted in RS which, as she assesses, represents American hegemony. SFOR violated all of the international laws. This is an attack on the sovereignty of a people, stated Mrs Nokovic for the Serbian Press Agency - SRNA, while commenting on the occupation of the SRT transmitters. PARIS - A well known author and author of the book titled 'The Praise to the Serbs', Friedrich Detour stated for SRNA that he is not surprised with SFOR's occupation of SRT's transmitters, because the USA are doing their utmost to gag the Serbs. SFOR serves to the US policy more and more influencing on the fate and freedom of the Serbian people. It is obvious that Washington imposes its policy, its vision of the things in the Balkans and this cannot be tolerated, stressed Detour. PARIS - The seizuring of SRT's transmitters by SFOR is a brutal act and one more proof of the dangerous policy on the part of the international community and NATO, stated a French journalist, Loui Dallmas. BANJALUKA - The Great Britain minister of defence, George Jung, stated in Banjaluka that new elections in RS should contribute to the further democratisation of the society and the stabilisation of peace. After the meeting held with the RS president Biljana Plavsic, he specified that they discussed about the forthcoming extraordinary parliamentary and presidential elections in RS. He said briefly that Great Britain is interested in extending of the humanitarian and economic aid to the RS people. BANJALUKA - The Swiss ambassador to B&H, Christian Hauswirt, presented to the RS president Biljana Plavsic the projects of the Swiss Government in RS and clarified the plan on the return of refugees, for the realisation of which the Swiss Government is ready to invest enormous sums of money. He added that they also dealt with the present political situation in RS. SARAJEVO - In regard to the Muslim and Croat electorate, the Serb electorate won a majority of votes in Srpski Brod and Rogatica, learns SRNA from a Serb representatives in the Provisional Electoral Commission that announced the first indefinite results of the elections held in RS and the Federation of B&H on September 13 and 14. After a session of the Commission which was held in Sarajevo, a member of the PEC from RS, Slobodan Kovac, stated that the election results for the FB&H municipalities of Tuzla and Hadzici were also presented. SARAJEVO - The sports is, according to the Dayton Agreement and the Constitution of B&H, solely in the competence of the entities, because of which we ask for the right to independency of the sports, an international recognition and participation of our sportsmen at the international scene, stated in Amsterdam the RS minister for sports and youth, Rajko Papovic. While addressing the attendants of the 13th European sports conference, Papovic reminded them that a certain number of sports from RS are internationally recognised and its sportsmen are competing all over the world, expressing his hope that other types of sports will be internationally recognised soon. PRISTINA - More than 60,000 Albanians took part at the demonstrations of separatists in Pristina, which started as announced protests of students of the illegal university in the settlement of Velanija, learns SRNA from the well-informed police sources. While asking for the return to their faculties, students intended to reach the centre of the city, but were energetically prevented by police. The demonstrations in Siptara and Pec, Kosovska Mitrovica, Djakovic and Urosevac were also noted but without police intervention. BELGRADE - The head of the Democratic Party (DS) and former mayor of Belgrade, Zoran Djindjic, called the demonstrators gathered at a Republic Square to set out for a walk of protest along Knez Mihajlova Street because, as he said, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs occupied the Square. The next meeting of protest is announced to take place in front of the Faculty of Philosophy at 18:00 hrs, on Saturday. The Belgrade radio stations - B 92 and Indeks call the citizens to take part at demonstrations, thus resisting torture. BELGRADE - The Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) and the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) called the voters to cast their ballots for their presidential candidates in the second round of the presidential elections in Serbia, which are to take place on October 5th. PODGORICA - The presidential campaign of the candidate of reform forces of the Democratic Party of Socialists, Mile Djukanovic, was concluded at the central square in Podgorica by the chanting of a slogan 'we are Mile's and Mile is ours' of about 20,000 citizens.
