At a joint press conference with the former and current US envoys for the Balkans, Richard Hoolbroke and Robert Galbard, president Plavsic said she got convinced that "these are the people who really want to help RS". "Our people is primarily interested in RS status and its economic prosperity, pledged by the international community throughout RS and B-H Federation", said the RS president.SARAJEVO - The president in the B-H Presidency from RS, Momcilo Krajisnik, is pleased with the participation of the former and present US envoy for the Balkans, Richard Hoolbroke and Robert Galbard, at yesterday and today's Presidency sessions. Krajisnik stated for Serb TV that these "are tow high diplomats and authoritative personalities". "Their contribution to the results is great, and we are pleased with this", Krajisnik stated. During his separate talks with Richard Holbrooke, Krajisnik stated RS readiness to accept all that put down on any document and to what is obligatory for RS. "Quiet introduction of stronger B-H and negation of RS will not be accepted", emphasised Krajisnik . SARAJEVO - Deputy foreign minister in the Council of Ministers of B-H, Dragan Bozanic, believes that all three parties should be content with the division of diplomatic-consular offices. In his statement for SRNA, Bozanic said that RS can be satisfied with the agreement because it got favourable offices - in Washington, Athens, UN Mission in Geneva, Ljubljana, Moscow, Cairo, Cambera, New Delhi, Tel Aviv and Paris. The offices will operate under principle of reciprocity, for instance, if ambassador is a Serb, his first deputy will be a Croat and second deputy a Muslim. SARAJEVO - The RS Government dismissed claims by the former US envoy for the former Yugoslavia, Richard Holbrooke, made in Banjaluka, that out of four World Bank reconstruction projects the RS Government refused two. Government's announcement says "Mr Holbrooke singled out projects related to transportation and education, prepared for the presentation to the World Bank Steering Board". Assessing these claims as "unfounded and untrue", the RS government says that it "adopted and signed the project called Education 2 this January", and the project of urgent reconstruction in RS was adopted and signed this April, and amended with the World Bank in June. SARAJEVO - Referring a large number of voters to polling in the B-H Federation, where they lived before the war, represents the denial of the most important civil right, that is right to vote, stated RS member of the Provisional Electoral Commission, Slobodan Kovac. "I believe there is still enough time to repair these omissions and that disfranchised citizens will be able to prove that they have right to vote where they want", Kovac stated, assessing it as "just unbelievable that besides a rigorous control at the registration centres so numerous irregularities were found out subsequently". PARIS - The French Government decided, after an agreement on distribution of ambassadorial offices in the world was reached, to reestablish diplomatic contacts with the B-H Embassy in Paris, this was announced from the French Ministry of Internal Affairs. BEOGRAD - The former US envoy for the Balkans, Richard Holbrooke, stated that the implementation of the Dayton agreement was significantly stepped- up in the past three days. "At the ceremony of signing of the Dayton agreement, I said that its implementation would be more difficult, so I am not surprised by a delay in the implementation", stated Holbrooke in an interview for the Belgrade Radio-B-92, and added that the participants at the Dayton conference concluded that things would move better with the agreement than without it, although all things cannot be achieved immediately. BEOGRAD - In Beli Dvori in Belgrade, Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic and US envoys Richard Holbrooke and Robert Galbard are in meeting expected to take long, for Holbrooke presumably intends to press Milosevic for implementation of all provisions of the US interpretation of the Dayton agreement. BEOGRAD - The head of the General Staff of the Yugoslav Army, lieutenant- general Momcilo Perisic talked today in Belgrade with special US envoy Robert Galbard on the establishment of the Standing Committee for Military Affairs between RS and B-H Federation. Even though announced, Richard Holbrooke did not attend the meeting. BEOGRAD - US diplomat Richard Holbrooke talked in the US Embassy in Belgrade with opposition leaders in Serbia about the implementation of the Dayton agreement and current situation in B-H. The leaders of the Democratic Party of Serbia, Vojislav Kostunica, Serbian Renewal Movement, Vuk Draskovic, and the Civic Alliance, Vesna Pesic, explained the up-coming elections in Serbia and their eventual boycott were not the subject of the discussion. NOVI SAD - By keeping the external wall of sanctions towards FR Yugoslavia and RS, the USA and their allies in the co-called New World Order project perfidiously continue the cool-blooded exhaustion of the Serbian people, concludes the Novi Sad's daily paper "Dnevnik". The paper sees in such behaviour an intention, of Washington, first of all, to draw Serbia to the so-called Serbia proper, without state control over Kosmet, Raska and Vojvodina, in addition to broken links with Monte Negro and integration of RS into the B-H Federation by building-up the central institutions. MOSTAR - Mostar mayor, Ivan Prskalo stated that he did not consent to the written document on return of refugees to this city, presented yesterday at the meeting of the Muslim officials in Mostar and Hercegovacko-Neretvanki Canton with UNHCR representatives. "A procedure for return, mentioned in this material, has not been agreed to thus far. I did not give my consent to this", stated Prskalo for the Croatian Radio-Herzeg-Bosnia. /end/Copyright © Srpska Novinska Agencija - SRNA Republika SrpskaFrom the Serbian Unity Congress Server at http://www.suc.orgSrpska Republica News Agency (SRNA) Directory - Previous Article - Next Article |
