BANJA LUKA - The price we paid for Republika Srpska is such that there is no individual, nor his personal interests, because of which RS may be risked, says the letter of support sent by the Serbian Patriotic Party to the RS president Biljana Plavsic.

BANJA LUKA - The head of the Socialist Party of RS, Dragutin Ilic, confirmed in Banja Luka that at a session of the National Assembly the Club of Representatives of the Socialist Party of RS 'is to intercede for the strict compliance with the Constitution and laws of RS, because only this way the present crisis in governing the state can be overcome'. At a regular press conference Ilic assessed the current situation as 'very confused', and pointed out that 'the misunderstandings emerged in the state top were showed first at the consultative parliamentary session held in Banjaluka on October 19, 1996. This also became apparent in the report submitted by the RS President Biljana Plavsic'.

SARAJEVO - A press conference about the current situation in Republika Srpska and the Federation of B&H took place in Pale. The OSCE's representative, Simon Haselock expressed his worries about the current political situation in RS, adding that the Office of the High Representative (OHR) 'will keep observing the development of events carefully'. 'We expect the current situation in RS to be overcome in a democratic way and in accordance with the RS Constitution', stated Haselock. The UN spokesman Alex Ivanko stated that the UN mission in RS and the Federation of B&H supports the RS president Biljana Plavsic in performing of her duties.

STOCKHOLM - Sweden is to withdraw her troops from the SFOR, if the USA does the same thing, stated the Sweden minister of defence, Fon Sydon, after the talks with his US colleague, William Kohen. 'In the event that the USA implements this decision, France, Great Britain, Canada and some other countries have announced to withdraw their troops also', reports a Sweden state radio.

HAGUE - By the hearing of the defence witnesses, the trial against Dusan Tadic, who is accused of the alleged war crimes in the former Yugoslavia, was continued before the Hague Tribunal yesterday. A policeman, Nikola Perovic, who knows Tadic for such a long time, Mrs. Ljubica Mecelars and the accused's wife Mira Tadic, positively testified about the accused's character. All the witnesses firmly stay behind their positive opinions given about Tadic.

MOSTAR - The Croats of Usora are threatened with an exodus in peace, if they do not get a local autonomy, stated the head of the Municipal Board of the Democratic Union of Usora, Josip Krajina. In the statement broadcast by the Croatian Herzeg-Bosnia radio, Krajina warned that the Muslim political engineering becomes more and more effective along the boundary areas of Usora, which are comprised of the settlements of Rosulje, Jelah and Potocari. As he said, Croats are forced to sell their houses and property to the Muslims from the Doboj, Tesanj and Teslic areas, but also to those living in Sandzak. Some 20 Croatian families have sold their houses and property so far.
