SARAJEVO - The president in the B-H Presidency from Republika Srpska (RS)
Momcilo Krajisnik, denied in Pale reports that the RS president Biljana
Plavsic was detained in Belgrade, and explained that the "information is a
product of fear or maybe unfounded predictions". Misunderstanding between
RS president Plavsic and RS minister of interior Dragan Kijac Krajisnik
assessed as stipulating from a disorder in competence on the RS level", and
said "we are on the road to overcoming the problem".
SARAJEVO - The president in the B-H Presidency from RS, Momcilo Krajisnik,
received in Pale in a farewell visit deputy high representative, Michael
Stainer. Krajisnik assessed Steiner's role in the post-Dayton period of
time as "a great contribution to establishment of a permanent peace", while
conflicting opinions during discussions were displayed for the reason of
arriving at solution. Krajisnik believes that Michael Stainer's successor
will be much easier to continue the efforts. Michael Steiner stated that
"the most important thing is that there will be no war anymore, for when
the international community says so, than it really means it".
DOBOJ - The Doboj Association of Refugees and Displaced Persons declared
illegal activities of the "Club '92" Citizens' Association from Doboj,
which, by way of inciting Muslim into the mass return, negated the right of
25,000 Serb refugees to decide on their own where to live after being
expelled from their homes.
SMAC - Upon invitation of mayor of Greek city o Aharnon, Atanasia
Mustkatosa, 13 children of fallen VRS soldiers form Samac went to one-month
visit the city.
BANJALUKA - The member of the RS Social-Liberal Party Main Board, Slobodan
Popovic stated that RS strictly implemented the Dayton agreement, which was
confirmed by the US special envoy for the Balkans, Robert Galbard, while on
the other hand the B-H Federation obstructed the implementation, because it
tried to prevent the organisation of the Donors Conference.
ATHENS - The president of the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (BJRM)
Kiro Gligorov, stated for the Greek paper "Tovima" that he suggested to US
representatives BJRM's international recognition under the name of Republic
of Macedonia - the name which is the main stumbling block in BJRM-Greek
relations.
