NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The president of the National Assembly, Dragan Kalinic, assessed that yesterday's session of the National Assembly demonstrated how much the up-grading of this relevant effectuated development of democracy and state as well. "The Assembly becomes the place where the interests and voice of people aired by their elected representatives are being presented, which is something that nobody can challenge", stated president Kalinic for Serb Radio.

SOKOLAC - His Eminence, Metropolitan Dabrobosanski, Nikolaj, served the holy liturgy in the Romanija's church "Lazarica", which begin the central celebration of June 28th Vidovdan - the Patron Saint of the Serb Army (VRS).

VIENNA - The OSCE Regional Centre in Vienna announced that 273,849 voters registered themselves for the elections in RS and the Federation of B-H, though eligible voters from Yugoslavia and Croatia were not included. The number of registered might increase during the appeal proceeding, for 42, 856 voters are not registered, the main reasons for this being the absence of proper documentation and omissions in 1991 census.

ZVORNIK, PRIJEDOR - In five Zvornik registration centres, 94. 2 per cent residents were registered, and the final percentage will be known after all centres complete voters registration. All seven registration centres Prijedor, in which 92 per cent voters registered, are closed.

CLEVELAND - The Muslim general Selma Cikotic, sent by Washington at the elite military school for foreign officers, is accused by Croatian officials of war crimes committed against civilians in Bugojno and surrounding villages, writes the New York Times. Cikotic arrived to Washington in December 1994 as the military attache of he Muslim Embassy, after he attended the political negotiations with Croatia in 1993, which created the Croat-Muslim Federation.
