SARAJEVO - Minister of internal Affairs of Republika Srpska (RS), Dragan
Kijac, sent a letter of protest to the SFOR commander, general William
Crouch, because of unfair behaviour of some SFOR soldiers towards RS
policemen. "Following SFOR military operations directed at RS police, I am
forced to warn you at some SFOR units violating not only the RS
Constitution, but also the provisions of the Dayton agreement, and even
widely-adopted rules of conduct of the civilised people", said minister
Kijac.
THE HAGUE - Dusan Tadic, found guilty for alleged war crimes, will appear
in front of the Hague Tribunal next week, to be determined the verdict,
reports AFP, referring to Tribunal's press release, according to which the
verdict will be announced on July 14.
NEW YORK - The UN secretary-general, Cofi Annan, proposed two-stage "Exit
Strategy" for UNTAES withdrawal from the Srem- Baranja District, after
completion of their mission of monitoring of peaceful reintegration of this
district into Croatia. In his written report to the UN Security Council,
Annan says that "the hand over of the district to Croatia will be
proportional to Croatia's success in building of confidence of the Serbian
populace in Zagreb rule".
