BIJELJINA - The construction of tree out of eight sections of 77.5 kms long
railroad linking Bijeljina and Samac, in which DEM 180 million is invested,
begin today in Bijeljina. The constructors are: the "Ljubija" mines,
"Japra" from Novi Grad, "Niskogradnja" from Doboj, "Niskoradnja" from
Teslic, "Jedinstvo" from Gradiska, "Gradip" from Prnjavor and the
engineering units of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS). While speaking at
the ceremony regarding the start of the construction, the RS prime minister
Gojko Klickovic said this railroad represents the backbone of RS and that
it transits the heart of RS - Brcko.
KRAGUJEVAC - In the municipalities of Kragujevac, Lapovo, Batocina, Knic
and Raca, in the Sumadija region, total 1,517 or 85 per cent eligible
voters registered thus far.
TREBINJE - The fifth assembly of the RS Veterans Organisation was closed in
Trebinje by the analyses of the Organisation Presidency activities and of
the implementation of conclusions from last session. The issues dealt with
in a broad discussion pertained to all problems of the accommodation and
health care of soldiers - especially those disabled - and scholarship for
children of fallen soldiers.
