BANJALUKA - The president of Republika Srpska (RS) Biljana Plavsic, talked
in Banjaluka with the EU ambassador to B-H, Donato Cherini, about the
implementation of the economic reconstruction programme for RS. During the
talks, Cherini said only a portion of 5.6 million DEM worth UN aid for RS
health care system arrived today in the Banjaluka's Medical Centre.
SARAJEVO - The cabinet of the RS president in the B-H Presidency, Momcilo
Krajisnik, issued a communique saying: "As of recently, there are frequent
speculations of certain parliamentarian and non-parliamentarian parties, as
well as media reports, referring to alleged large discord within RS
leadership, according to which allegations, the RS president in the B-H
Presidency is, in contravention of RS Constitution, trying to take over all
political and state power".
SARAJEVO - The RS president in the B-H Presidency, Mocmilo Krajisnik,
received the ambassador of the Russian Federation in B-H, Jakov Gerasimov.
SARAJEVO - The president of the RS National Assmelby, Dragan Kalinic, and
Serbia's health minister, Leposlava Milicevic, talked on possibilities of
cooperation based upon the Agreement on special parallel relations. Kalinic
and Milicevic discussed the servicing of debt incurred by treatment of
patients from RS in Serbian medical institutions in 1996. They also
considered setting of realistic criteria for referring patients to
Serbia for treatment.
SARAJEVO - The RS minister for refugees and displaced persons Ljubisa
Vladusic, talked in Pale with representatives of associations of refugees
from RS about their more active participation in finding solution to the
problems of refugees. "The representatives of the associations have their
full support to Ministry's programme for 1997, especially in the view of
the Law on abandoned property and Law on refugees and displaced persons,
which are now under review", stated Vladusic.
