AMSTERDAM - Acquitting Alija Izetbegovic of any responsibility for war crimes against Serbs is astonishing when it is known that the Hague Tribunal insisted persistently on indictments against Serbian leaders, deeming that they are responsible for what their soldiers allegedly had done, even when they were not informed about that, is the comment of the Dutch daily "Parol". The immediate cause for this assessment of the author of text, famous publicist and analyst of the situation in the former Yugoslavia Rene Gremau, was the discontentment of the Association of detainees with the seat in Belgrade by the procedure led in Hague against the indicted for crimes in the detention camp in Celebici, one year after the request of the Association to start this procedure.
