According to him, the five- day visit was paid in an friendly atmosphere. "This was an initial and key step forward in the establishment of parliamentarian cooperation between RS and Great Britain", stated president Kalinic.SARAJEVO - The RS minister for refugees and displaced persons, Ljubisa Vladusic, talked in Pale with director of the Swiss agency SRSA, Mr. Helkant, about the implementation of $ 25 million SRSA projects in RS. Minister Vladusic informed Mr. Helkant of priorities in permanent accommodation of refugees and displaced persons in RS - the issue which should be found in SRSA projects. Mr. Helkant was submitted a project proposal for reconstruction of damaged residential building and construction of new ones for RS refugees. BANJALUKA - Deputy director of the RS Customs Administration, Ratko Trifunovic, talked in Banjaluka with the delegation of the European Commission for Customs and Fiscal Operations about a need for modernisation and development of the RS Customs Administration. An especial emphasis was given to professional up-grading of the customs officials. BANJALUKA - The OSCE Banjaluka Regional Centre reminded all political parties of February 26 deadline for registration of their members for the local electoral commissions in all municipalities. Members of all political parties registered for the municipal elections planned for last September are eligible for candidacy. BEOGRAD - At the constitution session of Belgrade's City Assembly, new president and vice-president of the Assembly were elected, in addition to members of the Assembly's Executive Board, all elected being members of the opposition parties for the first time after WWII. New Belgrade mayor is Zoran Djinjdic, president of the Democratic Party (DS), while City Assembly vicepresident is the Serbian Renewal Movement (SPO) member, Milan Bozic. The president of the Executive Board is SPO's Spasoje Krunic, and Aleksandar Milutinovic, Milutin Randjelovic and Milutin Stamenkoovic are elected his deputies. BEOGRAD - The taking off red star from the Belgrade's Assmelby building symbolically marked the end of socialists' rule in Belgrade. The followers of the coalition "Together" will celebrate their victory at the Republic Square in Belgrade. BEOGRAD - The Belgrade students continued their protests, asking for a complete recognition of all electoral results of the second round of the local elections and asking for resignations of the president and vice- president of the Belgrade University. MOSCOW - The Russian-American dialogue for which Russian presidential spokesman said was useful and described its results as "cautious optimism".
