NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BEOGRAD - The Assmelby of the Council of Europe adopted the resolution on democratisation of the political life in former Yugoslav regions, which relates to the obligation of implementation of the Dayton agreement. This was confirmed by the delegation of Republika Srpska (RS), who took part at the two-day Assmelby session.

SARAJEVO - The minister for communications and civil affairs in the Council of Ministers, Spasoje Albijanic, talked in Pale with the International Organisation for Civil Control of Air Traffic representative, admiral Ian Forbes, on the establishment of the civil airtraffic in the Dayton B-H. "I informed admiral Forbes of the problems in the organisation of civil aircontrol", stated minister Albijanic.

SALONICA - The vice-premier of the RS Government, Velibor Ostojic, and RS minister of culture and education Stevan Stevic, visited the Serb Military Graveyard in this city. The RS delegation had a series of meetings with ministers of culture of several countries.

BRCKO - The city of Brcko must not be the subject of bargaining, because it would mean the fate of the Republic of the Srpska Krajina is to happen to RS, stated the president of the Brcko Municipal Board of the Serbian Radical Party.

BRCKO - The president of the Socialist Party for RS Municipal Board for Brcko, Petar Djokic, stated that the Brcko is the RS vital interest and that all those who endanger the proper solution of the Brcko issue deliberately create a new war crisis in this region.

NEW YORK - A Norwegian, Kalji Ede, a new special envoy of the UN secretary- general for the Dayton B-H will replace Igbal Riza, who has been nominated new chief of secretary-general's cabinet.

SARAJEVO - The ICRC warned that even after regular meetings of the working groups for tracing missing persons in the Dayton B-H, there have been no significant breakthrough and tangible results in tracing 18,172 missing persons. Therefore, all three parties in the Dayton B-H, as well as the ICRC representatives, are unanimous in their conclusion that they should "revise the modalities of coupling with to the problem of missing persons".

BANJALUKA - In the work of RS media the has been no censorship, and the media have remained opened for all opposition parliamentarian and non- parliamentarian parties; this was concluded at Banjaluka's a meeting between the RS minister of information, Svetlana Siljegovic, and editors of the state media.
