NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA
SARAJEVO - In the name of Her Majesty Government, British Ambassador to the
Dayton B-H, Charles Crawford, sent an official invitation to the president
of the RS National Assembly Dragan Kalinic, to lead a parliamentarian
delegation to Great Britain for talks with British Parliamentarians. The
invitation was accepted with pleasure, and terms and composition of the
delegation will be lately determined.
SARAJEVO - The president of the RS National Assmelby, Dragan Kalinic, sent
Christmas message to Serb people: "As we have had enough strength to fight
all temptations and remain persistent in our Orthodox faith, so in the
coming period of time - which will be no easier for us and not without less
temptation for our people - we will persevere and defend RS".
BEOGRAD - Over 50,000 citizens of Belgrade, protesting against the
annulment of the second round of local elections in Serbia, assembled at
the Republic' Square to celebrate Christmas Eve.
SARAJEVO - The most influential paper in the Federation of B-H "Ljiljan",
assesses that Muslim return to the villages of Jusici and Dugi Do does not
represent only weakening of "Serb Fascism", but a clear Muslim political
concept. "Jusici yesterday, Brcko tomorrow, then Doboj, Prijedor...It is
our main route", says "Ljiljan" in its editorial. The paper is considered
to be an informal herald of the Party of Democratic Action. The Muslim Army
Fifth (Bihac) Corps commander, Atif Dudakovic, supported all these claims
said that "Republika Srpska is only an occupied area".
SARAJEVO - Europe is old, nationalistic and calculating, in contrast to
America which policy is more favourable for us, stated Alija Izetbegovic,
chair of the tripartite Presidency of B-H, for the latest issue of Muslim
paper "Ajvaz". He pointed out that "history of Europe is the history of
creation of national states, while the USA is multinational and its policy
serves the Muslims and 'whole Bosnia'".
SARAJEVO - According to information of the Muslim-Bosnian Organisation
(MBO), the setting of houses on fire in Dubrave and in the areas of
Capljina and Stlac was ordered by some foreign intelligence services, as
well by the former HOS (Croatian defence Forces), which controlled the
former JNA, reports Muslim Radio-Sarajevo.
