SARAJEVO - The Government of Republika Srpska (RS), passed a Bill on defence regulating the rights and duties of state bodies, Army, citizens, enterprises and other RS institutions in the defence system. According to Bill, the forces tasked for the defence in peace is Army, and in the state of war and immediate threat of war those forces are Army and Police.

MRKONJIC - GRAD - His Eminence Bishop of Banjaluka, Jefrem, and His Eminence Bishop Gorenjekarlovacki, Ninakor, dedicated a monument to the Serb King Peter I Karadjordjevic in Mrkonjic Grad. The RS acting president Biljana Plavsic said after the ceremony that in front of this monument one should speak of past history just to know how to step into the future.

SRBAC - The city of Brcko with its wide corridor, must be in the Serbian hands, otherwise no one of the Serbs living E of this city will never feel safe, warns the president of the RS National Assembly, Mocmilo Krajisnik, at a meeting of the Serbian Demo cratic Party (SDS) in Srbac. He called all political parties "to stay tightly untied and save our most significant achievement - RS".

RIBNIK - The president of the RS National Assmelby, Momilo Krajisnik, and the RS minister of health, Dr. Dragan Kalinic, talked in Ribnik with the city authorities about the economic recovery ad accommodation of returnees during the upcoming elec- tions. While addressing to the assembled citizens, following the meeting, Krajisnik stated that "the upcoming elections are of an extreme importance and that the Serbian people must thing well for whom to vote, for after 14 September, there will be no make up examination.

DOBOJ - The representatives of the RS and CroatMuslim Federation Commissions for POW Exchange, Dragan Bulajic and Berko Pusic, condemned as a barbaric September 7 Muslim act of burning and mining 23 bodies of fallen Serb soldiers in Paljenik, near Vozuca. They met in Doboj in the presence of Carl Bildt's repre sentative where they expressed their hope that the agreement on exhumation of mass graves, reached between the RS National As smelby president Momcilo Krajisnik and the B-H Federation presi dent Kresimir Zubak and Hasan Muratovic, would be fully respect ed.

BRCKO - A French delegation comprised of writers and jour nalists was attacked by IFOR troops in Brcko at 13:00 hrs. the French colonel and representative of the Republic of the Srpska Krajina in France, Patrick Bario, confirmed that the incident was caused when a member of the French delegation photoed an IFOR soldier.

BANJALUKA - The RS vicepresident and acting president Biljana Plavsic, received in Banjaluka's Banski Dvor, the delega tion of French intellectuals, and thanked them for their "sympa thies for the Serbian people, in the wave of the worldwide cam- paign against them". "The RS should be sealed out at the elec tions, but we are not sure what sort of concoct is being prepared for us in the word kitchens, especially in Washington", stated Biljana Plavsic, in her addressing to the guests.

SARAJEVO - Representatives of the Parisbased World Congress of the Serbs, arrived to RS to give their support to the SDS at the upcoming elections, stated the head of the Belgrade's Con- gress Office, Predrag Dragic. "The Serbian people has to hold its fate in its own hands, because the international centres are attempting to bring quislings to power by disuniting the Serb constituency", the Congress representatives assessed at a press conference.

ZVORNIK - The Zvornik mayor, Jovan Mitrovic, warned that the safe polling places are only those at the bordering areas, while the arrival of Muslim voters to the depth of Serb territory might provoke incidents. At his meeting in Mahala with UNHCR represen tative in Tuzla, Umberto Lombardo, and Muslim representatives, problems related to the elections and resettling in the bordering areas were considered.

ZVORNIK - A meeting between Zvornik officials, IFOR and MuslimCroat Federation representatives was held in the IFOR Command in the community of Mahala, near Zvornik, pertained to September elections and Muslim voting in the communities of Mahala and Dugi Do.

SARAJEVO - The IFOR ground forces spokesman Max Mariner, stated a a press conference in Lukavica that "the motive is not clear" because of which a group of the Muslim on Friday evening arrested two Serb men and wounded a women, on the road for Trnovo. "We do not know if this was a preelection violence or an hatred instigating act", admitted Mariner.
