BEOGRAD - The postponement of local elections in Republika Srpska (RS) and the CroatMuslim Federation is an additional example of US supporting their favoured ones - the Muslims - assessed the vicepresident and acting president of RS, Biljana Plavsic, in an interview for tomorrow's edition of weekly "Jav nost".

BILJENINA - The RS vicepresident and acting president Biljana Plavsic, stated at a ralley organised by the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS) in Bijeljina, that we must not lose our, Serbian state for, "if we lose it, we will not be given the second chance to create it again for a long time to come". "We must not lose the things we achieved in the four yearlong war, for this is something dreamt of by the Serbs through generations", warned Biljana Plavsic, adding that the elections are decisive for the survival of RS.

SARAJEVO - The RS prime minister, Gojko Klickovic, talked in Pale with the U.S. secretary of state envoy, Rudi Perin, on the Brcko issue and the freedom of movement during the elections. "This discussion was also overshadowed by pressures, the essence of which is an effort to influence the elections though Brcko issue", stated Klickovic following the meeting, and assessed that these are continuing attempts at further playing down and avoid ing the compliance to the Dayton agreement, despite opossite assurances received from Mr. Perina.

SARAJEVO - At today's thematic session devoted to the elec tions, the RS Government determined the tasks necessary for the organisation of the elections, which would also provide technical prerequisites for the day of voting. The RS minister of interior Dragan Kijac explained that the RS Polcie assessed the security situation, and that heads of regional centrs were provided with the concrete instructions for police work on September 14. Ac cording to the preliminary agreement reached with the minister of interior of the B-H Federation, Avdo Hebib, voters from the Federation will enter the RS by identified routes and only organisedly, i.e. in busses.

SRBAC - The president of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) for RS, Nikola Poplasen, called on people in Srbac to vote for either SRS or SDS, "for they can preserve the Serb national interest in the best way".

ZVORNIK - The president of the Party of Serb Unity (SSJ) Zeljko Raznajtovic - Arkan, called residents of Podrinje, at a meeting in Zvornik, "to give their vote to national parties in order to verify four years o bloody struggle of the Serbs W of the Drina". "The SSj belives that only a stong state, with clear ly defined national goals and interests, can rebuild our reputa tion and secure the place in the international community", stated Raznjatovic.

ZVORNIK - The president of the Zvornik Regional Board of the Socialist Party for RS, Dragoljub Tomasevic, said in Zvornik his was convinced that "at the upcoming elecitons, the people will choose honourable and most competent people, the best people". The Zvornik mayor Budimir Acimovic, committed himself for the creation of the conditions of social security of residents which would benefit the process of the retun of quolified and edicated people and retun of capital, necessary for the strenghtening of the economy".

SARAJEVO - The Muslims are carrying out preparations to bring major groups of soldiers dressed in civilian clothes and armed with pisols and side arms to SanskiMost and Kljuc area, immediately before the elections or on the day of the elections, and position them at certain positions along the SanskiMost Prijedor road. SRNA learns from miltiary and police sources that the Msulims, if conditions allow, intend to take the city of Prijedor itself in a blitz operation which would be, "with the internaitonal media help", shifted to "liberation of Prijedor".

MRKONJIC - GRAD - Members of the Association of Families of Missing and Imprisoned Serb Soldiers and Civilians, blocked a part of the former "avnoj" road, near MrkonjicGrad, protesting the slow resoving of the issue of missing and imprisoned persons. The Association members decided to take this desparate act be cause of the dragged out dealing with the problems of 1.500 missing soldiers and over several thousand Serb civilians, since their fate has been unknown since the CroatMuslim aggression at western RS.

SARAJEVO - The leading Muslim parties discussed in Sarajevo the possible boycott of the elecitons, scheduled for September 14, but closed their meeting not releasing any announcement. "The announcment will be issued later on", stated the president of the Party of Democratic Action (SDA) Alija Izetbegovic.

SARJAEVO - Unless the issue of Sarajevo administration is not resolved by September 14, the Croats will be called to boy cott the elections, the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) announced this at a press conference in Sarajevo. The Croatian Radio Her zegBosnia, says that last March, "when the Sarjaevo eparchy was established and the city assemlby disbandoned - with its executve board still in place - the city adminsitration should have been establised, too".

BRUSSELS - The presence of interational military and police forces will be necessary in the Dayton B-H "for at least a year after the elections take place", stated the high representative in Bosnia Carl Bildt, in Brussels. Following his meeting with the the European Commission officials, he explained that "it is necessary for all concerned to understand that there are no more military options, and that the populace should not be frightened by the declaring of war."

ZAGREB - Belgrade and Zagreb will establish full diplomatic relations on Monday, Setpember 9, as stipulated from their recent agreement on mutual recognition. Croatia and FR Yugoslavia will, on September 9, exchange diplomatic notes according to which their present liaison offices will be promoted to embassies, says an annoucnement.

WASHINGOTN - The US Army commander, general John Shali kashvili, will visit Sarajevo next week and to meet with repre sentatives of the multinational forces.
