SARAJEVO - Republika Srpska (RS) is firm in its stance that
the borders must be the same as those on 1:600,000 map of Novem
ber 21, 1995 signed in Dayton, stated the vice president of RS
Government and president of the RS Commission for Demarcation
Velibor Ostojic for Serb TV. Ostojic also said that during re
drawing of the borders on the socalled 1:50,000 operative map,
RS lost estimated 170 square kilometres of territory.
ZVORNIK - The RS minister of justice Marko Arsovic, stated
that the Dayton agreement calling for the cooperation with the
Hague Tribunal, endangered a possibility of achieving strategical
aims, like freedom of movement, repatriation of refugees and
democratic elections. In a statement for the newest edition of
the Zvornik paper Glas Sprski, Arsovic supported his claim by a
conclusion that the Muslims mostly violate freedom of movement,
by arresting all those allegedly listed as wanted for war crimes,
"which list is as long as the 1991 census list".
SARAJEVO - The head of the OSCE Provisional Electoral Com
mission Robert Frowick decided to postpone the official beginning
of the electoral campaign in RS and the CroatMuslim Federation
for July 19. An announcement of the Provisional Electoral Commis
sion says it will reconsider all parties' compliance to the
General Framework Agreement for the Former B-H, the electoral
code of conduct and Rules and Regulation issued by the Commis
sion.
