BANJALUKA - The prime minister of Republika Srpska (RS), Rajko Kasagic talked today in Banjaluka with the UNHCR high commissioner Sadako Ogata, about problems of accommodation of over 80,000 refugees, presently residing in this municipality. Ogata said that UNHCR will soon start with rebuilding of 1,100 flats in Sipovo and Mrkonjic Grad, in order to facilitate the return of refugees to their homes.

BANJALUKA - The director the "Mercy Corporation Internation al", US private humanitarian organisation, Boling Landrum and the RS prime minister Rajko Kasagic, talked about the economic recon struction and development of RS. Landrum stated that the aim of visit was the acquaintance with the degree of damage don to telecommunications, houses, hospitals, schools, religious objects and water industry.

BANJALUKA - The prime minister of Republika Srpska (RS), Rajko Kasagic, and the EU special envoy Donato Kierini today signed the first Contract, by which the EU allows $ 2,000,000 of aid for RS. One million will be sent for reconstruction of agri culture, and other million is intended for renewal of livestock.

BANJALUKA - The UNHCR high commissioner Sadako Ogata talked in Banjaluka with the high representative for the former B-H Carl Bildt on problems of refugees. After the meeting Bildt stated that he is hopeful that "refugees will soon overcome their fear to visit their homes".

SARAJEVO - Representatives of five ministries of the RS Government received the World Bank Operation Group chief of mis sion in the Federation of B-H, Sarah Foster, for talks on recon struction of the RS by way of public works.

PRIJEDOR - The Prijedor mayor, Milomir Stakic talked with EU observers and representatives of the IFOR Civilian Sector, who gave proposals for contacts between Red Cross from Prijedor and the Muslim "Merhamet" Charity from Sanski Most, concerning free dom of movement.

THE HAGUE - The main evidence against Dusan Tadic for the alleged torturing of Muslims and Croats in the Omarska and Trno polje camps are only maps, while Tadic was not charged with any concrete murder, stated Austrian prosecutor Grant Niemann in front of the Hague Tribunal.

SID - The ZagrebBelgrade highway was officially opened in the village of Lipovac, near Sid. The solemn ceremony was attend ed by the administrator for Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srem, US general Jean Claine, and two state delegations led by the Yugoslav minister for traffic and telecommunications Zoran Vujevic, and the vicepresident of the Croatian government Ivica Kostovic.

BEOGRAD - The president of the Main Board of the Serbian Liberal Party (SLS) Kosta Cavroski, assessed that "there is no doubt that the Albanians in the Kossovo have firmly decided to get a kind of independent state, and that they are tending to wards their unification with Albania".

SARAJEVO - Representatives of "Johaniter UnfallHilfe" German charity visited the Kasindo hospital on which occasion they granted an ambulance.

ZURICH - In the Swiss city of Esh, near Baden, the "Uros Predic" Association of Artists opened its fifth exhibition of paints and sculptures of 15 authors who are living and working in Switzerland.
