"We fought for a state, liberty and democracy, and now the moment has came for the people test them selves and choose their representatives", assessed Krajisnik in an interview for "Glas Srpski". He stated that it is very impor tant that all political parties participate in the elections and agree about the minimum national interests so as to reach a national consensus. SARAJEVO - All 16 prisoners which the RS charges with com plicity in war crimes against the Serbian people are in Pale, stated the president of the RS Commission for POW Exchange, Dragan Bulajic. He said that evidence of their participation in war crimes was sent to the Hague Tribunal, where the future of the prisoners will be decided. The prisoners in whom the Tribunal show an interest will be transferred to the Hague, and all will be held in prison until the Tribunal comes to a decision. Bulajic reiterated that the RS has already fulfilled all its obligations concerning POW release, denying international media news reports of the RS having failed to do so. BANJALUKA - Wellknown Belgrade pathologist, Dr. Zoran Stankovic and military prosecutor Srboljub Jovicinac announced that after eight days of work, 104 Serb corpses, exhumed from two mass graves in Mrkonjic Grad, were identified. SYDNEY - In Australian Stat TV programme "Sad Peace", the former EU mediator in the negotiations on the Former Yugoslavia, David Owen, confirmed that a deliberate media war had been waged against the Serbs, and said that the U.S.A. secretly armed the Bosnian Muslims. Probably hurt at the underestimation of his personal efforts in resolving the Balkan crisis, Lord Owen was especially rough on the U.S.A., whom the British diplomat claims to be the guilty party in the deception of the international community. Among other things, Lord owen confirmed the fact that the Markale Market massacre was staged, as were other such acts which were later used as an excuse to attack the Serbs. CLEVELAND - The American U.S. News, claims in its latest edition that the presence of the multinational military forces in the Former B-H is linked to intelligence gathering. "The multina tional forces and IFOR, are not only gathering data on the oppos ing factions, but are largely occupied with mutual spying". Military intelligence sources admit that mutual spying is a reality, adding that the majority of the NATO-member state armies possess hightech communications and radar systems. BERLIN - The Berlin Morgenpost published the statements of RS officials who say that the Hague transfer of Serb colonel Krsmanovic to the Muslim authority in Sarajevo is in violation to the Dayton agreement. BEOGRAD - The representative of the Russian Ministry for Emergency Action, Vladimir Alekseyevich Shyukov, confirmed that a plane carrying 25.8 tonnes of food for the RS, arrived at the Belgrade airport, adding that the establishment of the air lift needs the permission of the Russian Federation, though this is soon expected. BRUSSELS - A discovery of the LA Times that Iran delivered arms and other military equipment to the Bosnian Muslims, with the help of the U.S. Administration, is not leaving first pages of the Belgium press. the American administration and president Clinton himself organised the arming of he Muslims through Croa tia, and likely Tuzla, preparing them for the offensive against the RS, which was launched last autumn, conclude the Belgian press. SKOPLJE - The GreekMacedonian dispute over the future name of the Former Yugoslav republic of Macedonia (BJRM) again focused attention of these Balkan neighbours. The BJRM foreign minister Ljubomir Frckofski stated, before paying an official visit to Athens, that "no name, not even a complex one, can be considered, except the constitutional one: the Republic of Macedonia". The Greek press says Bill Clinton favours a double name, "New Macedo nia", for international use, and "Republic of Macedonia" for internal use. /end/ |
