SRNA REVIEW OF EVENING NEWS, March 22, 1996Srpska Republica News Agency (SRNA) DirectoryFrom: Mirjana Petrovic <almirja@cotton.vislab.olemiss.edu>BELGRADE - RS National Assembly president, Momcilo Krajis nik, stated that big powers expelled the Serbs from Sarajevo, and now the second painful issue for the Serb side is to be solved - the status of Brcko. In an interview given Belgrade's paper Argument, Krajisnik said that "the Serbs are discontent with the Dayton agreement, but, nevertheless, they will implement it". AMSTERDAM - The International War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague indicted three Muslims - Zejnil Delalci, Hazim Delic and Esad Landza and a Croat Zdravko Mucic because of war crimes committed against the Serbs. According to the Dutch media, the Hague tribunal has done this in order to take arguments away from Belgrade and Moscow that only Serbs are being tried in the Hague. BELGRADE - A Belgrade attorney, Zdravko Guberina, stated that bringing charges against three Muslims and a Croat came too late. Guberina said that "as long as the Hague tribunal does not bring charges against the Croat and Muslim military and political leadership, the tribunal has no right to indict or arrest a single Serb". BRCKO - Brcko police station chief, Zarko Cosic, today called premature the decision of American mechanised brigade commander George Fontana to eliminate all checkpoints between Brod and Srpska Dubica (near Brcko). "Serb police won't be able to guarantee the security of Muslims and Croats entering Brcko, especially when larger numbers of persons are involved", said Cosic in a statement SRNA. "If it comes to this, then their security will be in jeopardy, while the possibility of incidents occurring will increase", warned Cosic. MOSCOW - The Russian president, Boris Yeltsin, will not attend tomorrow's meeting of the Contact Group in Moscow because he will be too busy, reports AFP. According to an unnamed source from Kremlin, the Russian premier Victor Chernomidin will attend the meeting. |
