[01] CLOSER COOPERATION BETWEEN FRY AND UKRAINE
The delegation of the Yugoslav Parliament, headed by the
President of the Citizens' Counsel Mr. Radoman Bozovic yesterday
in Kiev talked to the representatives and the President of the
Ukrainian Parliament Olexander Moroz. Both sides agreed on the
necessity of concretization of all the forms of cooperation
between the two countries and that the Agreement on friendship and
cooperation between the two countries should be signed as soon as
possible. Mr. Bozovic stressed that Yugoslavia highly estimates the
participation of the Ukrainian representatives in the international
institutions , their realistic and impartial approach toward the
crisis in Former Yugoslavia.

[02] BELGRADE SIGNER OF "ACROPOLIS CHARTER"
At the ceremony in Athens, attended by 60 majors and
representatives of local authorities from Greece and Europe,
yesterday the Acropolis Charter was signed, declaring peace,
freedom and human dignity. Belgrade is one of 200 cities
participating in this action, expressing nations' aspiration for
peace, freedom and equality of men and their unbending decision to
fight the rebirth of nazism and all the other dark forces of racism
and discrimination. The Deputy President of the Belgrade Assembly,
Mr. Slobodan Drobnjakovic assessedthat Belgrade joining this action
is most important for our country, since it had a large role in
achieving peace and stability in Former Yugoslavia.

[03] 1.000 NEW PRODUCTS SECURED DURING SANCTIONS
General Manager of the Serbian Electric Power Industry, Mr.
Dusan Jovanovic stated that during the sanctions our industry
secured about one thousand new products for the Serbian Electric
Power Industry as well as about 200 new technologies, technological
procedures and works. Inauguration the exhibition SUBSTITUTES FOR
THE IMPORTED EQUIPMENT, SPARE PARTS AND MATERIALS, Mr. Jovanovic
underlined that the participation of foreign equipment in our power
plants could be lessened from the present 60 percent to 13 percent
only. At the worst period for our industry and citizens, EPS relied
on the domestic science and industry and had managed to provide
regular supply of electric power, said Jovanovic and pointed out
that each domestic product not only successfully replaces the
imported one, but always implies the development and effects,
brought in through the newly secured technology of production and
new products.

[04] MS. RENN ON BREACHING HUMAN RIGHTS IN CROATIA
UN Special Reporter on Human Rights, Ms. Elisabeth Renn, after
her recent visit to Croatia, stated that she is not pleased with
the frequency of Serbs returning to Croatia. " It is too slow, and
the ones that stayed and the ones that are coming back are still
in danger. There are many robberies, bombings and it seems that the
authorities are not too keen on defending the population there.
Since, if the Serbs do not return to Krajina, it will significantly
impede the return of Croats to the Danube basin", said Ms. Renn.
She is also skeptical towards the official statements of the
Croatian Authorities that until now the return of about 12.00
Serbian refugees is approved. " I can not accept these numbers, I
am more inclined to believe that only a thousand or two have
returned, since other international observers quote similar
numbers". Ms. Elisabeth Renn said that she has asked for
explanation from the Croatian Government several times, on the
crimes over Serbian civilians after the Croats Army action, but,
as she said, she did not get satisfactory answers.

[05] OSCE CONCERNED ABOUT THE ARRESTS OF ABDIC'S FOLLOWERS
The representatives of the international community yesterday
confirmed that in Western Bosnia, because of the supposed war
crimes, 18 followers of Mr. Fikret Abdic were arrested and
expressed their concern since the arrest defy the rules issued by
the International Court for War Crimes in Le Hague. OSCE Speaker
Mr. David Folley stated that he is "worried that members of
political organization are arrested" The dossiers of the arrested
were not submitted to Tribunal in Le Hague. " The Tribunal must
immediately receive these dossiers or the arrested men should be
released now", said Folley. The Government in Sarajevo accused the
Leader of the Moslems from Cazin, Mr. Fikret Abdic for war crimes
and the supposed cooperation with the Bosnian Serbs.

[06] RUSSIAN SOLDIERS REFUSE TO BECOME MOSLEMS' HOSTAGES
Following the last week's events, when armed Moslems in the
village of Jusici, in Republic of Srpska, took 24 Russian soldiers
and officers as hostages, the Russian Division of IFOR left their
station at the separation line between the entities and positioned
itself further into the territory of Republic of Srpska. As the
anonymous IFOR officer stated to SRNA Agency, the dislocation of
Russian soldiers to the village of Malesice was ordered by the
Russian Division Commander, Colonel Sergey Generalov. The village
of Jusisi, after the departure of Russian soldiers, is now
uncontrolled, since the Republic of Srpska police is not allowed
to patrol the village independently. The representatives of the
International Police Forces in Jusici show no intention of
respecting the earlier signed statement on supporting the laws of
Republic of Srpska. As reported by SRNA, the Moslems, some of them
carrying arms, are more frequently invading the village of
Malesice, populated solely by Serbs, thus defying that their
intention was to return to their homes.

[07] ALBANIAN "GAMES" ON THE SUPPOSED POISONING OF CHILDREN IN TETOVO
The recently invented "ethnic poisoning" of Albanian children
in village schools in the Macedonian multinational municipality of
Tetovo, officially denied by the Wiener Institute for Forensic
Medicine experts, is getting international "treatment". Last night
news are that today the team of toxicologists will arrive from USA,
to carry out additional research of the "monstrous poisoning" that
occured with Albanian children only. The arrival of American
toxicologists, announced by Radio Tirana and upon insisting of the
US Embassy in Skopje, aroused resentment in the Macedonian
political public. It is concluded that behind the supposed
poisonings are, in fact, the antagonist Albanian lobbyists, trying
to destabilize Macedonia, similarly to the invented poisonings in
the eighties in Kosmet.
