[01] Motion of censorship debated in Romanian Parliament
On Monday, the Romanian MPs are to debate a second motion of censorship
initiated by the members of the Party of Social Democracy in Romania and by
the Romanians' National Unity Party, in the opposition, targeted at the
government's assuming responsability for the global reform of the Romanian
society. On Friday, after long debates, the legislature defeated the first
motion initiated by the opposition. RRI-RADOR, June 9
[02] Thesaloniki meeting
Foreign ministers of the South-East European countries, Romania included,
are meeting in Thesaloniki on Monday. The conference, also attended by
representatives of the Central European states and by European bodies,
mainly focusses on security, stability and cooperation in the South-Eastern
part of the continent. Romanian delegation is led by foreign minister

[03] Romanian-American training exercises
Over June 8 to the 20-th, a joint drill of some scout subunits of Romanian
and American armies will take place in Romania as part of the MIL to MIL
Programme. The exercise sets to make an exchange of experience in
operatinons specified to scouting as well as to improve the training of the

[04] Turkish delegation in Romania
A delegation of the Constitutional Court of Turkey, led by its vice-
president Guven Dincer, pays a visit to Romania as from Monday. The
delegation will have talks with representatives of the similar institution
in Romania, with MPs and with represenatives of the judiciary. RRI-RADOR,

[05] Debates in the Ecumenical Council of Churches
Patriarch Teoctist of the Romanian Orthodox Church met on Sunday with a
delegation of the Ecumenical Council of the Churches. They discussed the
social problems with which the Christian churches in Romania are facing. As
from Monday, the delegation will attend the symposiun "The Confrontation
with AIDS - an Answer of the Christian Churches Today". RRI-RADOR, June 9
[06] Weather in Romania
Weather in Romania is becoming warmer and sunny. However, some rain falls
are forecast in North-Western regions of the country. Temperatures will
range from 10-12 centigrades in the morning to 26-28 centigrades at noon.
