[01] Three Albanian Children Wounded in Heavy Explosion in Rahovec Village
on Sunday
PRISHTINA, Feb 15 (KIC) - Three Albanian children were wounded in a heavy
explosion that occurred yesterday (Sunday) around 11:00 CET in Kramovik
village of Rahovec municipality, the local chapter of the Council for the
Defense of Human Rights and Freedoms (CDHRF) said.
Agim T. Kelmendi (12), Valdet L. Kelmendi (12) and Valdrin L.
Kelmendi (6) were seriously wounded in the blast that is presumed to have
been caused by a mine planted by Serbian forces in the village, namely on
the doorstep of an Albanian house.
Agim and Valdet were taken to the Gjakova hospital.
Serbian police forces have been in the habit of opening fire during the
night at Kramovik village, local sources said.
[02] Premises of Three Faculties Handed over to the Albanian-run University
of Prishtina
The Serbian regime has done this hand-over today for merely tactical
reasons, to demonstrate the alleged good will of Belgrade now that the
Kosova conference at Rambouillet is under way, Abdyl Ramaj, a Kosova
education official, told the KIC
PRISHTINA, Feb 15 (KIC) - The buildings of three faculties and a college of
higher education (the Faculty of Law, Faculty of Economics, and the Faculty
of Arts, as well as the Teachers' Training College) were handed over to the
Albanian-run University of Prishtina today noon in Prishtina.
The Serbian regime illegally took over the then bilingual (80 percent
Albanian, 20 percent Serbian) University of Prishtina in the autumn of
1991.
In September 1996, President Ibrahim Rugova of Kosova and then Serbian
President Milosevic signed an education agreement which has to this day not
been implemented because of Serb regime's obstructionist policies.
The Kosovar Albanian side does not see even today's hand-over as an
implementation of the 1998 agreement and the March 1990 annex to the
agreement, Abdyl Ramaj, a member of the Kosovar commission for the
implementation of the agreement said. All of the faculties of the
University of Prishtina and accessory premises should have been long ago
made accessible to the Albanians, but they have not, he noted.
The Serbian regime has not yet allowed Albanian students back to the
buildings of the faculties of Medicine, Philology, Philosophy, Mathematical
and Natural Sciences, Agriculture, Physical Culture.
Mining and Metallurgy, as well as colleges of higher education in Prizren,
Gjakova, Gjilan, Mitrovica, Ferizaj, and Peja, Mr. Abdyl Ramaj recalled.
Other vital parts of the University campus - the University Library, the
Students Center, the dormitories, the sports hall, as well as the students
canteen still remain in the hands of the Serbs alone - as well as education-
related institutions at the Kosovar level, the Kosova education official
said.
The Serbian regime has done this hand-over today for merely tactical
reasons, to demonstrate the alleged good will of Belgrade now that the
Kosova conference at Rambouillet is under way, Abdyl Ramaj told the KIC.

Kosova

exercises in the area.
A convoy of Serbian forces consisting of 4 tanks, 4 vehicles trailing anti-
aircraft weaponry, 5 lorries trailing heavy guns, and 6 APCs headed today
morning towards the Bukosh village, where they were deployed eventually,
local LDK sources said. Heavy Serbian police forces escorted the military
convoy.
Heavy paramilitary police forces, backed up by armored cars, have been
deployed in the village of Bruznik, local sources said.
[05] Two Albanians Kidnapped by Unidentified Persons in Ferizaj
PRISHTINA, Feb 15 (KIC) - Unidentified persons with a car without license
plates kidnapped Halil Hashanin (30), resident of Greme village and his
companion, whose name has not yet been made known in the town of Ferizaj on
Saturday evening, around 19:00 CET, local LDK sources in Ferizaj reported.
