[01] Serb Forces Build Up, Imminent Attack Feared in Two Villages of Skenderaj

[This unqualified 'Serb forces' should mean just that Serb forces, because the way they have recently operated has been a combined police/militia style.] A credible eye-witness in Llausha told the Kosova Information Center (KIC) Serb forces in infantry units have been approaching the village from three mountainous sides.

A similar situation is reported at the Prekaz i Ul&t village of Skenderaj.

Meanwhile, it is reported that huge Serb forces have been heading from Mitrovica and Gllogovc towards Skenderaj.

A Democratic League of Kosova (LDK) source told KIC at 6:30 in the morning several armoured vehiciles and other Serb police vehciles have been heading for Skenderaj.

This source said at 7:00 hrs three busloads of police and several lorries full of troups arrived in Gllogovc.

At 7:20 a.m.. a source from Skenderaj said huge Serb forces, backed by tanks and on board of buses, have been arriving in the near vicinity of Llausha.

LDK branch sources in Skenderaj said in view of the week-end masscare of Albanian civilians by Serb forces at Likoshan and Qirez (at least 25 Albanians were killed), the Llausha and Prekaz villages will have no other choice but to respond in self-defense against an imminent attack.

The LDK branch in Skenderaj made a dramatic plea for international factors to urgently intervene so that a fresh masscare of Serb forces is averted.

Serb forces started opening fire from heavy guns, a source told KIC at 7:45.

An Albanian, Miftar Rrecaj, native of Llausha was reported shot and wounded. KIC
