    ATHENS, OCT.26 (ATA)- By R. Goro, Albanian and Greek Interior ministers, Neritan Ceka and Jorgos Romeos, signed an agreement of cooperation in border guarding.

    The agreement was signed in Ioannina on Saturday evening, at the end of a two day meeting between representatives from Albanian and Greek border police commissariats.

    The agreement envisages simultaneous patrols from both sides. The patrol squads will be introduced to each other earlier and will communicate by radios and mobile telephones.

    The Albanian border guard forces will be provided with all material and technical aid from the Greek side.

    The agreement also predicts cooperation in guarding the sea border, in which most of drug, arms and cigarette smuggling is carried out. To this end, the Greek side committed itself to provide a number of speedboats, equipped with the necessary arsenal.

    Members of both delegations aired their determination to put an end to the smuggling conducted along the border line between the two states as well as to illegal emigration. s.sh/kei/lm/k

    TIRANE, OCT.28 (ATA)-Zeri i Popullit carries the editorial:"Comedians", which says that the four fasting DP deputies "are not so much worried about the destiny of an amendment, but through this act they seek to keep alive the strategy of violence and political tension at home".

    The paper carries opinions of Albanian politicians on the strike under the title:"Berisha only knows to scream". The paper carries the pronouncement of Albanian Prime Minister Fatos Nano, following his visit to France, under the title: "Albanians voted for four years".

    The paper also carries the news conference of the representative of the World Bank to Albania, Carlos Elbirt. the paper says:"Justice, delayed reform".

    Among the cultural topics we mention: "Albanian language was taught in Russian secondary schools".

    Rilindja Demokratike says:"Government tortures strikers" and runs the editorial:"The Republic of Bananas", saying that the DP strikers are being treated by the state like invaders.

    Under the headline:"SP will remain heir to Enver Hoxha's party for another 20 years", the paper says:"SP should be dissolved".

    The paper carries the article:"Communists will not be able to kill us all", saying that when a government suppresses the people, the latter have the right to counteract.

    In the feature of actuality the paper covers the news conference of Carlos Elbirt under the title:"Brussels watches Nano and the currency for six months".

    The paper says that decision against Sude will be taken tomorrow.

    Republika carries the editorial:"Cynicism of politics and its inability". It says:"Shemsie Kadria returns in Tirane: 'I want to resume the Gjallica activity'".

    The paper cites DP deputy Azem Hajdari, one of the strikers, as saying:"Only EU can get us out of here". The paper cites the chairman of the Republican Party and co-chairman of the Constitution Drafting Commission, Sabri Godo, as saying:"I do not draft the constitution only with the majority".

    The economic issues include:"Government, creditor to VEFA" and "The World Bank speaks of usuries".

    Under the headline:"Instructors from the U.S. arrive in Tirane. They will train the Albanian secret agents," Koha Jone says: "CIA penetrates into the NIS". The paper carries the editorial:"To be a deputy" saying that to have the immunity does not mean to slacken the reins of the mouth and reason, that is, to insult, curse or beat anyone who does not suit you.

    The paper says that Berisha has warned that the strike will extend all over the country. It carries an exclusive interview with the Vlore gang chief, Zani, in his prison cell in Tirane. Under the headline: "Vlore reacts after Berisha's latest acts", the paper says:"The Vlore women: We will come to Tirane". The paper says that facts have been uncovered regarding the South's bloodshed.

    Rilindja covers the meeting of Albanian President Rexhep Meidani with the chairman of the Party for Democratic Prosperity in FYROM, Abdurrahman Haliti, under the title:"For a genuine cooperation". The paper says that the burial ceremony of Monseigneur Frano Ilia has been held. The paper also says: "The U.S. should increase pressure on Serbia and appoint a special envoy for Kosova".

    Shekulli says that the hunger strikers have asked the discharge of the TV leading officials. It says that in many districts of the country the soldiers' recruit has become very difficult. It carries the article: Is the death sentence a crime or a punishment?".

    As regards economy it says:"The World Bank increases financial support for Albania".

    Albania says:"400 policemen against four deputies".

    The paper reports that the national association for the return of the money deposited in loan-taking companies has issued an appeal:"Our life is at stake"!.

    The paper carries comments by the striking deputies under the title:"Gjinushi orders killing of deputies". Under the headline:"Elbirt sides with the government and ruins the Albanian creditors", the paper says: "The World Bank supports pyramid-banks".

    Dita reports that the requests for resignation of leading officials have been rejected, regarding the DP request that the TVA leading officials should be ousted.

    The paper cites Godo as saying:"The constitution should be approved by all, otherwise it cannot be drafted". Under the headline :"Prime Minister returns home after the European Tour", the paper says: "France, the last stop of Nano". The paper reports on the agreement signed between Albania and Greece on border cooperation.

    Gazeta Shqiptare says:"Agim Shehu (former deputy Interior Minister) suspected of killing". The paper carries the editorial: The State and the right to move". As regards the DP hunger strikers the paper says that they have asked the Intervention of the EU. kei/lm/k
