    TIRANA, DEC 15 (ATA) - After a several day visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt, an Albanian parliamentary delegation led by the chairman of the Presidency of the People's Assembly Pjeter Arbnori returned home yesterday.

    Arbnori described the visit as very successful. Egyptian senior officials highlighted the achievements of Albanian democracy and the victory of the democratic forces in the latest elections in Albania. They also appreciated the role of Albania as a factor for peace in the region, considering that Albania's position for a peaceful solution to the Kosova is to the benefit of the process of peace.

    "Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak has accepted the invitation of President Berisha to visit Albania soon," said Mr Arbnori. ake/kled/xh/sh/

    TIRANA, DEC 14 (ATA) - Albanian President Berisha hailed the meeting of the President of Kosova Ibrahim Rugova with the U.S. Secretary of State Warren Christopher as a very important event in the friendly relations of Kosova with the U.S. and as a clear testimony to the U.S. interest in and unshavering support for the solution to the question of Kosova, President's press and information office reports. ake/kled/xh/sh/

    [03] PRIVATE EMPLOYEES MAY HAVE NO PENSION BECAUSE THEY DO NOT PAY SOCIAL INSURANCES

    TIRANA, DEC 15 (ATA) - By Mimoza Allushi: Thousands of people employed in private firms do not pay social insurances, consequently they probably will not receive pensions, the Albanian Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs reports.

    "The ministry, in cooperation with the State Inspectorate of Labour, will control private firms and enterprises and on the basis of the law it will impose fines," said Fatmir Bektashi, deputy minister of Labour and Social Affairs.

    According to sources of this ministry, the number of the people who do not pay social insurances amounts to 1 000 000. 700 000 of them are people working in their properties in the countryside. eva/xh/sh/

    TIRANA, DEC 15 9ATA) - "Yesterday the President of Albania Sali Berisha met with Hans Stercken, former chairman of the foreign commission of Bundestag accompanied by the German personality Rudolf Decker," writes Rilindja Demokratike today under the headline "Stercken: you have made numerous great friends in Germany." President Berisha hailed the meeting of President Rugova with the U.S. Secretary of State Christopher "as a clear testimony to the unwavering support and interest of the U.S. for the solution of the Kosova question."

    Zeri i Popullit makes coverage of the visit of the Albanian Socialist Party delegation to the U.S. "Students kneel the police," writes the paper under the headline "Gjirokastra: revolt against the state of violence."

    "Experts warn of a storm on pyramidal schemes. In January, new developments expected," writes Republika. The paper entitles its editorial "100 years of crimes cannot be covered up with a minute silence."

    Demokracia has an article entitled "In order that Journalism serve the human rights."

    "Albania and Berisha have made great friends in Germany" writes Lajmi i Dites about the meeting of President Berisha with German personalities.

    "Lack of Hierarchy and responsibility," writes newspaper Rilindja. "The Parliament of Kosova cannot be replaced by parliamentary groups and commissions and the less so by political party commissions," writes the newspaper.

    "Sudja guarantees loyalty to her creditors," writes Albania. "Kosova threatens the tranquility of the Balkans," writes this paper regarding the conference going on in Tirana on the topic "The Balkans after the Dayton Accord."

    "Inside or outside the crime" is the title of the editorial Koha Jone. "Blackmail on a legal company" writes this paper under the headline "Valer Xheka violates law. The state keeps silence." "DP fears Azem Hajdari" is another article of this paper.

    Dita Informacion writes: "Pyramidal schemes, cause worries when they make the banks have few money." The feature "Opinion' in this paper has an article "Media and citizenship."

    Drita carries an article "Distinguished lyricist of Albanian music," on occasion of the 70th anniversary of the birth of the composer, Tish Daia, Artist of the People."

    "During 1996, the state budget deficit reached 27 billion lek," writes Gazeta Shqiptare under the title "The Government violates the law with 90 million dollars."

    "Socialists of Vlora seek the discharge of the General Presidency and an auto-criticism by Nano for the motion," writes the newspaper. kled/xh/sh/
